Photos for 1st MP competition

Looking for some feedback for my guy who is 2 weeks out from his first physique contest. How's his conditioning? How's his muscle size and shape? Just from browsing through some contest photos it's seems like most of the MP guys are packing enough muscle to compete as middleweights in BB?? Are the judges wanting big chests/arms/shoulders? I am guessing a carb load is not done in the typical fashion of a bodybuilder but not exactly sure? He is about 5'10 and weighing 164lbs. Post whatever you feel may be helpful, thanks!

Chest/shoulders and arms need to beef up big time. Conditioning seems good for 2 weeks out...

Good luck to your buddy.

Keep in mind that regional level show judging seems to favor the smaller physiques compared to the national level/pro qualifying shows. Not sure why it is this way but food for thought. I've competed at 2 regional shows and 2 national level shows for what it's worth.

Contest pics. The judges threw him right in the center for the second callout so I had him sittin @ 6th place. Just missed out on the top 5. Seemed like the judges were wanting to see a little more size than conditioning... It wouldnt have hurt him to get his color a little darker but we live in the Pacific NW and I think he is scared shitless of a tanning bed! Regardless, he looked great and he knows that he needs to pack a little more beef for the next time around. Really proud of him! Thanks for the comments & advice.
