Freeman's incredible delts, much like Levrone's with his tear, help to mask the tear's impact. And Toney definitely poses well to effectively hide the injury.

He could easily win the Arnold, but I'm rooting for Kai.

But Toney will win half of all the shows contested this year. lol

Okay, more than likely an overenthusiastic prediction, but Freeman won the 2006 Europa, 2007 IM and Sacramento Pro, and cleaned up in 2008 with a 2nd in the AC Pro Masters, a win at the Europa, 3rd in NZ, another win at the Tampa Bay and top 5 at that year's Olympia.

It's easy to be an armchair critic, and I certainly mean no disrespect to the man. He has built a world class physique that I, or 99.9% of the population could only dream of building. I'd happily take his physique, tear and all.

I believe that if he didn't have that tear, he could be Mr. O. It's the only thing holding him back, and the difference between 1st and 3rd at the big shows.

But how about this... what if the tear actually inspired Toney to come back more dedicated and motivated to the cause?

Say he hadn't suffered the tear and had been competing since he turned pro? In 1995 when he turned pro, Dorian won. 1996 and 1997, also Dorian. 1998, Coleman, of course and again and again and again up to and including 2005.

Freeman may have easily passed on out of the sport faced with Dorian and Coleman as competitors. We'll never know.

I believe things happen for a reason and Toney's life is going according to plan. The tear might be the factor, but not as a negative.
