I heard somewhere that there will now be three procards ( overall and next two finishers) given for mens 40+ bodybuilders. Is this correct?

First and second in forty-over, and one for fifty-over in men's. One for women's 35-over and one for women's 45-0ver.....I'm pretty sure.

I went to the NPC news on-line listing of contests and went to the one for Pittsburg and it had a notation "D+" and the explanation at the bottom of the page says: " The top two(2) Master's Men's over 40 class winners, the overall winner of the Masters Men's over 50 & over 60 divisions and the overall winner of the Women's over 35 will qualify for professional status."

You're still up! I should've called you back. I thought you'd be in bed by now....LOL!

I think they were adding a pro card to the 45-over women, too.

This is what I found out:

Masters Men: Two pro cards in over 40 (overall winner and runnerup), and pro cards to overall winners only of the over 50 and over 60. So that is four total for the men.

Masters Women BB: overall winners only of over 35 and over 45, so two total

Masters Figure: overall winners only of over 35 and over 45, so two total for figure

Masters Bikini - overall winner of over 35

So that is a grand total of 9.

I guess any woman over 35 who masters a bikini deserves a pro card,,

lol, I hope the over 35 bikini will be better than the bikini events I've seen so far. I know the bottom line is it is bringing in extra money. But I still have no clue as to what the criteria are for judging.

Nor do I Gerry. I'm ambivalent about the whole thing. What was wrong with just keeping figure?

I call this figure lite. In figure, you have to be sculpted and porprotioned. No question those ladies train and seriously. One of the female BBs at this show said she thought bikini was something she would never consider doing.

Honestly, I saw a couple of bikini competitors this weekend with jiggling cellulite. But not for me to say, I suppose.

But enough said. I got off the subject of this thread and apologize.
