Impressive physique. Posing routine sucked IMO. A lot of walking and a few repeated mandantories.

So am I. Great physique, but his posing transitions need a lot of work.

Very few competitors execute posting routines anymore. Generally we see either pacing to stage left and right hitting straightforward mandatories or we see dancers who mistake dance for posing.

I think these guys did a great job posing. Posing can be difficult to say the
least I think it really takes a lot of focus and drive to do it properly.
What are some of your favorite poses. I like the double back myself.

Inclined to agree with Baldie. There is more to a posing routine than just walking or dancing, and doing a few mandatories. Transitions and sequence are important. In many amateur shows, the top 5 are decided in prejudge. But it still good if you are posing in the final (at Masters, all bbs and female physique competitors pose in final) to leave a good impression on the judges in anticipation of your next show. This is a chance to be creative in an albeit short period of time. See so many open with front double bicep. How about a variation. Recommended to one competitor a front lat spread into one arm raised in air, then 2nd arm (create victory pose) then one arm down into bicep and then 2nd arm down to complete double bi. If double bi is a strong pose for you, it heightens the effect when you hit it.Have to figure out what works best for you. Best to open and close with strongest pose(s), to bring in the audience and leave them wanting more. And always thought hand beckoning for applause was inappropriate. If you are that good, the reaction will will come. If you have to solicit a reaction, then it's not worth having.Practice and more practice. Not good to look like you're winging it. If you want to get pro status, will have to learn to pose effectively. Posing round also counts in pro finals. If you are going to go through the effort and expense, to train, diet, tan, trave, etc. do not neglect or underemphasize the posing. Important part of the competitive equation.

a little bit too fast. I am guilty of it as well. Arnold could do those fast transitions and keep you mesmerized but lesser men have to hold it longer, otherwise you lose the audience.

Great! This guy was smooth, showed off physique to best advantage, vacuumed on front double bi, nice. Great thread, thanks
