I've been using the Slingshot -Training- System and making some fantastic gains in size. My strength has never been this good bu my quads are lagging still. Ronnie told me to concentrate- squats-good form- a bit higher reps-10-15.
Reload routine 4 weeks
Squats 4 sets
Leg press 4 sets
Leg ext 4 sets
Seated leg curls 4 sets
lying unilateral leg curls 4 sets.
Deload routine 2 weeks
Squats 2 sets
Leg press 2 sets
Leg ext 2 sets
Seated leg curls 2 sets
lying unilateral leg curls 2 sets.
Any one with great knowlege know of something I could improve here?

Give this a try-
3 sets high rep leg extensions to target lower thighs
3 sets of squats with feet wide apart to target inner thighs
3 set of squats with feet close together target outer thighs
3 sets of uni-lateral lunges or leg presses to target glutes

When I was competing years ago I met Dr. Fred Hatfield @ my gym. I explained to him that I too had issues putting size on my legs. I had a 600lb. squat @ 195lbs, every movement I did was heavy. Worked on changing my foot positioning everything nothing worked. He told me that I didn't have enough blood flowing to my legs. He told me to just do 3 sets of 40 reps on leg extensions and 3 sets of 40 reps on the leg curl. I did that for 3 mos. But after those exercises I would finish up a regular leg workout. It worked pretty good for me, give it a try!

When I train legs. I always pre fatigue my quads with leg extensions to high rep then 3 heavy sets with a good pause and contraction. It makes it so I dont move as much weight when I squat but when I get to the squat rack my quads are already full and pumped. I grow this way.
