i've never done a log before on the computer i always kept a log book during my dieting/bulking phase so i plan on showing everyone some of my old logs as well as blood work that was done a couple months ago after PCT. You will get to see some videos of good lifts, progress pics, food choices and also different things that go on in my life day today. As i stated before in a different thread i dont plan on having dramatic weight loss to get shredded, my plan is to maintain as much muscle as possible while slowly stripping away fat so i can bring the best overall package in.

Im starting it slowly with nothing too crazy changing up at first just pulling sugar out and making sure i hyper hydrate this first week, changes will come as i feel they are necessary. Protein will be around 300 coming from eggs, chicken, steak, pork, fish, and whey powder. Carbs will vary week to week as i plan on adjusting things to see how my body reacts to different types of carbohydrates and i do not go low carb i love my carbs and i'd rather burn them away then not have them at all. Fat sources will be from egg yokes, steak, evoo, and fish oil

I know I'll be back in above normal range soon and that's when I grow like a weed, I train hard and add dense muscle so locking the diet down to peel away fat slowly is the real challenge and I plan to do it smart and grow to 215-220.... Time will tell

3. I only want to try it because I hear it helps with recovery x10 because of the increase in RBC's.

I can remember a few times when it was impossible for me to stand up the day after a leg workout. They just went to jelly so I had to stay in bed. lol

My friend did with me that front squat-hacken squat routine and he was sore for next 96hours!!!

I've never had problem with standing up but daaamn my glutes were not OK with me playing soccer next day.

i took yesterday off completely because my chest is trashed from monday still and my lower body is killing me from Tuesday, i used a little bit wider then shoulder stance for my leg day so my glutes and medialis are so sore its difficult as hell to sit on the toilet..what do you guys do to help recovery after tough leg day, stretch, foam roll, stationary bike? im open to suggestions lol i normally tough it out but im looking to get my recovery back within 3 days if possible after destroying legs..

i have no clue what that is lol im outta the loop..im still hurting bad i woke up to single digit weather today in beautiful center city philadelphia, walking my 60 pound hyper puppy was horrible as she pulled me around like i was 95 lbs..

She was born blind and its been a tough road training her but that's what makes so proud of her, her senses are incredible and people can't tell she is blind till i say something to them.

He's about 10lbs heavier and slightly taller than standard Pit sizes. Most of the really short, muscled, stocky ones are mixed with other breeds. His coat is blue brindle and very uncommon colors. He has orange tiger stripes all over.

Had an incredible chest though so I won't argue with the movement. A lot of guys are doing the extreme style stretching these days, I barely even stretch. lol

i watched raw iron before Chest day and seen all the heavy compound movements the ol'heads did and it showed in their development, their pecs were round and full with dense thick muscle.. now days people are lacking and the stretch flys and deep stretch dips have a huge purpose in chest development...IMO

thanks guys! back to chest development...stretches and long negative in a power rack at the end of your work out will destroy u but i believe the hold/stretch in Powerrack negatives bbrings that pop to the pecs and hits lazy fibers cause you have to go balls to wall to do 10 sec negative at the end of your work out with weight you do 6-8 reps with.. have a good spotter to pull the weight back up for you so you main focus is the essentric phase, then slow 10 sec neg with a stretch/hold an inch above the safeties for a two count..

These help build some good myofibrillar fibers for sure. Actual growth of the muscle.

A 10 second negative sounds brutal, but there's sure to be a ton of muscle fibre activation going on. I'm sure it would be a great shock technique for new growth.

It literally forces the actual muscle fiber to thicken/grow. It's cool stuff.

Lmao. As m4 said, upping test is awesome too! Cutting blows at times. I once caught a cramp in my glute going balls deep in my GF because my cut. Dehydration too before weigh ins.

Whenever i'm in a situation where I only have light weights I use a lot of Charles Glass techniques and still manage to get a crazy workout. He really knows how to make an exercise difficult and effective with lighter poundages.

I watched a couple of the poorly built trainers at the gym doing those on a Smith machine w/4 plates a side. They started walking around all bowed up so I commenced my set of DL, 455x8. I hate watching partial reps that aren't meant to be, they have a place but not every exercise.

Barry - so true - one thing I love about pictures and esp videos of the big guys is that you can literally see the mind/muscle connection and see visibly what muscles are engaging. And when you're looking at guys like Arnold. Franco and Tom Platz on leg day ... dayum.... nothing makes you "see" what you want your body to do.

Bull - NICE back progress! And you're killin' it w/ the leg day motivation...except for that one small anomolous photo of the board shorts... kinda threw me.

Hope you continue to find deeper meaning in all your lifting! Keep killin' it man!

I meant to add a couple notes on your doggies -- such a beautiful dog & LOVE your little shepherd baby! I'm a kitty owner myself - primarily because I move around too much and apt living doesn't go well w/ dogs. I had volunteered at a cat rescue in California and finally got into a training program for an organization that handles almost 25% of the abandoned animals in Chicago. I signed up for their dog care program instead of the kitties primarily because I am selfish and I want a doggy fix. We got a tour of the facility and, as they said, the most frequently surrendered breed is the pit / rotty terrier. I live in Chicago and this is one of those areas where this breed is the most popular and also the most frequently surrendered. There was one female who had been brought in so near starvation that she was nothing but a bag of bones. She's now filling out some and has an amazingly good disposition given what she has gone thru -but she's still skinny, but has the BIGGEST head I've ever seen. They are such amazing dogs and I'm so looking forward to working with them. When they smile they smile BIG. Its so awesome. :)

I like that when you commit to a style, you commit BIG AND BRIGHT! I always say - GO BIG OR GO HOME! If you're gonna do it, do it BIG!

I have general disdain for the board shorts because most of the guys who wear them have godlike upper bodies and stick calves coming out the bottom. I guess you have to take anything in guys' styles as an expression of self when it stands out - even the old shitters and the whacky ties of the 80s. Hell, even my dad wore some of the nutty ties I bought him, and he's an old school attorney.

Monday is LEG DAY! KILL DAT SHIT!! I also like that you rebel against Monday as Universal Chest Day!

I personally always preferred to start w/ my biggest muscles -- which meant Monday was either Leg day or if I'm splitting them, Ham Day. Then you only have to deal w/ the dbags who haven't picked up on the Universal Chest Day (shit, its like when girls' periods sync up...)
and still think its studly to curl in the squat rack. At least when I ask if they're done in the squat rack they strip off their little 25 lb plates, acting like they're all gallant and everything so the poor little girl doesn't have to hurt herself lifting the plates. And then I kick their pansyass 25 lbs out of the way and rack up a couple 45's and ask them to step aside. :) LEG DAY BITCHES! HOOAHH! (Ok that's probably disrespectful to the real soldiers who have earned the right to say that.. but it comes to mind when you kick pansyass squat rack curlers out of the way ... )

Like Spock says "Lift long and prosper". OK I guess Spock doesn't say that. But he should.


... dang, I need to make a t-shirt w/ that on it. My "Live / Love / Lift" shirt just fell apart, so I need a replacement. Could I possibly look like a bigger gym nerd w/ a shirt like that?

this was a light leg day but very intense as there was no rest time for set to set exercise to exercise, i left light headed and a little sick but i feel good today sore. Heavy Leg day is Thursday which will be front squats hacks BB hip extension ham blasters

TUESDAY BACK & CHEST
RDL/Flat bb press
close grip pulldowns/cable flys
seated row/incline BB press
again very short rest but heavy weight for 8-12 reps and 5 sets
romanian deads 315 for 10 followed by 315 press for 6...got the heart pumping lol

I thought of this thread and your dog pic this morning - I just started volunteering in an animal rescue center near my apartment. In the past I've worked w/ cats but got a major desire to get a weekly puppy fix. I did my first "solo" session today - which basically amounts to taking the dogs out to an interior courtyard, giving them some out & about time and a "GOOD DOGGY!" when they do a #1 and / or a #2, and then pick up the #2. Many of the dogs there are pit mixes - these are the coolest dogs. There are a couple younger pups and some older ones and they are all just awesome.

OK - now back to focus on Week 9 & 10 progress! Keep it rockin! BAD ASS most muscular!

had a lot of drama come my way since the beginning of may. On the 6th of May I was driving to work at 7 am on the AC express way coming back from mur mur Monday (I know not a smart move) well I crash my car into a road barrier and spun around to hit another barrier with the back bumper and the impact was so great I was thrown threw the back window onto the high way.....more to come later

I was lucky 2 days ago driving to a clients house and something rolled off a truck and kucky to avoid it damage and no car hit me.
