Cardio timing question.

If I do cardio (low intensity) 45 minutes in morning on empty stomach………

What is the LEAST amount of time before I could go back and do my 45 minute weight workout? I would be eating a (protein/carb) meal immedietly after the cardio.

I like working out with weights in the morning before work when my energy is high and I have never been able to do morning cardio and then go train several hours later. I hate doing weights after work because my energy level is so low.

Would it be ok to do morning cardio, eat and then do the weight workout say 2 hours later?

i know it is not ideal but.......

thats fine, but I would opt to do resistance training first, then cardio post-workout
