Welcome to RX Girl! Great ladies doing great things on here!

And the answer to your question is a resounding Yes! I am a women's physique competitor and train everything like a bodybuilder. In prep mode the only things that have changed are my food intake, supplements & cardio. The weight training has remained consistently intense & heavy.

For legs, I lift as heavy as I can for quality reps. I am not striving for PR's or crazy weights, because I do not want to injure myself while dieting. I also go for volume with the builder exercises (Leg Press, Squats), which means anywhere from 20 - 30 reps per set. Everything else after the "builders tend" to be moderate weights, for quality reps to burn it out! :D

Wishing you all the luck on your road to Jr. Nationals! I may be there as well, as either a competitor or to cheer other peeps on! Peace!
