UTRECHT, Netherlands (AP) -- A football fan who disturbed a minute's silence for the victims of an attack on the Dutch royal family was given a five-year stadium ban Friday.

The man, whose identity was not released, began shouting during the moment of silence before the Dutch league match between FC Utrecht and Feyenoord on May 3.

The silence was a mark of respect for six bystanders killed when a man drove his car through a crowd as he tried to crash into an open-topped bus carrying Queen Beatrix and several other members of the royal family two days earlier. The royals were not hurt.

Another woman died of her injuries several days later. The driver also died without giving any indication of a motive for the attack.
FC Utrecht chairman Jan Willem van Dop said other fans helped identify the man.

"We made it clear to him we will not tolerate this in our stands," van Dop said in a statement. "The man expressed his regret for his actions and apologized to the club."
