saw the program myself thought it was pretty good yea im not to sure on one hand i would think physique would be a bit bigger but then again she was the only one that shredded in her category had the deep six and stuff like that

i felt a bit sorry for the woman from limerick that was in the physique she had obvisously put alot of effort into competing for the show and she was in brilliant shape and she didnt even have anyone to compete against ah well thats the way the cookie crumbles i supouse hopefully the program might have given it some publicity and there might be more next year

hey dub lifter, i agree with you bout the girl from limerick it does kinda suck that she was the only competitor but in my opinion nicoletta(the girl who won the figure show)should have competed against the limerick girl, anyway it was a good show and delighted some bodybuilding got a bit of publicity on a big network. were you at the show? branch was huge!

no didnt go but yea branch did look pretty big alright it was good that they briefly showed the mens category aswell looked like a pretty good show and yea its great to see bodybuilding getting some air time
yea well it certainly would have made the physique show alot better i still think the girl from limerick would have won do what you think yourself

also its a pity that video clip can only be stramed in ireland it would have been good to hear what everyone in america ,england etc thought of it

totally agree, limerick girl would have won and your right about the thing not streaming outside ireland, defo would be cool to hear some outsiders opinion of irish bodybuilding. Wat gym is best to train in when in dublin, preferably northside of city?

in total fitness in clare hall they blocked off the weights room to try get rid of all the bodybuilders and powerlifters etc not sure about the one in blanchardstown that might still be ok
i train in the dublin city corporation gym in ballymun its pretty good decent amount of weights and machines and stuff never really overly packed either only thing is the dumbells only go to 50kg thats not really a huge problem for me now but not sure about yourself
also you could try hercules http://www.herculesclub.ie/Welcome.html thats there website that in the north inner city
unique physique is another place at the donaghmeade shopping center
or there is universal gym its inbetween finglas and blanchardstown

avoid northwood the cheapness of the place will sound tempting but its impossible to workout there due to the fact that there is about 1 million members

Thanks for putting up the link irishmuscle! I was at the show and was wondering where this programme would appear. Seeing the men and women of the show and Branch of course gives a good push to start training. I thought it was a really good show and the programme gave a good insight into how the sport is doing in this country.

I train at totalfitness, their 3 dublin gyms have everything you'll need, Blanchardstown being the best of their clubs by a mile imo.

i agreaa that nicoletta ahould have been in the other calss and also that she would have been beaten by the limercik girl.

cant see how she won the catagory she was in, she is way to muscular for figure/body or what ever the fuck the irish bodybuilding federation call it. only one competitor is terrible. there should be a final entry date set so that girls will know weeks in advance if they will be the only one competeing then decide if its worth while or not to diet etc.

you can enter any class you want unless its sex/age/height/weight restricted. figure and physique have just 1 class each most times in ireland because there are very few competitors. but the judges cant tell you that you have to change catagories just because your to big.

basically the fact that we think she should have been in the physique(bodybuilding) catagory but still won the figure competition just shows that the judges are not awarding points for the right things.

if Iris kyle was to enter a figure competition in the IFBB she would place dead last becuase she is too big and too hard for figure, same should have been the case at the irish show, but nope.......its bullshit

enough said, cant say it any better in fairness, maybe the judges should be changed cause i seen the same judges place an actual fat bloke body fat easily 20% ahead of a guy in way better shape and his bf was about 7ish. It actually made me a little sick, seriously!

i train at nicollettas gym, she wasnt even in proper contest shape for that show, she was only half way through her contest prep for the nac world championships in holland a few weeks later. she came 2nd in the figure at that so obviously the judges think shes in the right class if she came 2nd in the world
