Ronnie is easily my favorite bodybuilder. In my opinion, nobody, I mean nobody, looked as great as he did in his prime years.

He was just so complete. Freaky arms, HUGE and broad chest, Big Vascular legs, and we all know about the back, glutes, and hammies :eek:

I personally prefer the softer and lighter builds zane, sergio etc. from 30-40 years ago but ronnie's size, shape and symmetry are stunning. It's hard to argue against Ronnie as the best bodybuilder so far.

Ronnie is the best bodybuilder. I never thought that anyone would surpass Yates' muscularity, but Ronnie "The King" Coleman took bodybuilding to new heights. The great thing amount Ronnie is that he improved each and every year he held the crown as Mr. Olympia.

BIG Ron Coleman and Dorian Yates. They both trained in gyms/dongens like I do and are straight up good guys. I'm sure there will be more greats to come and they too will take their place "BESIDE" Ronnie and Dorian. I believe Ronnie had/has a few more years in him, just wish he'd taken a year or two off from the Mr.O and then returned, who knows he still might.

Dave or John are you guys able to get Big Ron to become a RX member and maybe make some comments?:D

I'll preface this by saying Ronnie is not my "favorite" bodybuilder ever BUT I think it is hard to make an argument for anyone else being the greatest. In all the years I have been a bodybuilding fan I never saw anyone differentiate themselves from the competition more than Ronnie. Sure he was beatable in 2001 but I just can't get 2004 out of my mind. His overall body of work is better than anyone I've ever seen.

I definitely agree with most there. I think so far he is the greatest. I hope we see better in the future, but then again, the big nasty was ahead of his time, at least I think so.

okay lee haney here looks like he has duastasis recti. also even if ronnie did have a 40+ waist it went with his body cuz his shoulders and back were massive. and we are talking about ronnie being the best of all time when was in his best shape( ex. olympia 1998,2003 and arnold classics 2001) any one of those physics VS any body and I mean anyyy body and its lights out!!!!!

I have a soft-spot for Dorian though, the razor-sharp condition, the mass and his philosophies regarding training. He´s a great champ!

Do you know the difference between powerlifting and bodybuilding? Ronnie never lifted to be a powerlifter were as guys like JoJ did and compete in Powerlifting shows now if Ronnie dedicated himself to powerlifting who knows how far he could of gone hell he was deadlifting 800lbs for reps at almost contest weight....thats unheard of.

Arnold is the best of the Olympia winners in my opinion.Now in terms of the best ever Flex Wheeler is the best I have seen and was a casualty of the judges favoring a more massive power lifting physique.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Sergio yet! My personal favourites would be Sergio and Flex. They're the physiques I'd want to look like. I mean Sergio's proportions were unreal and I don't think have ever been bettered. Flex was the embodiment of perfection, everything just flowed. However I'd say Ronnie was the greatest ever. I don't know of another bodybuilder who grew that much yet still kept their symmetry and shape while carrying that much muscle! I'm sure we all have respect for Arnold too as most of us got into bodybuilding because of Arnold.

I'm so tired of hearing this shit about Lou! Lou is a damn legend man he IS the hulk! If you go to a meet and great of course your going to have to pay money most of them usually do. It's what they're for, even star athletes charge $$$ for photo's. You don't want a picture don't buy it. Unless you can find someone else from the original Pumping Iron crew that became an iconic legend as Lou has and doesn't charge for photos good luck. Ronnie is hands down the greatest of all time. It could be argued that Haney was but Ronnie took size and conditioning to insane levels. It might be said that there was not a lot of competition for him throughout the years but honestly who could compete with that package that man brought to the stage every year?? He was years ahead of his time when he was in his prime. Jay was the only guy that could stand next to him and not be dwarfed. I will miss those days of the Ronnie reign but last year was a nice change in that Dexter won and he was the best man that day. That is the way contests should always be. Not just hype and a name but let the physique talk and let it be judged accordingly. Again Ronnie was the best without a doubt. The 2003 package will always blow me away.
