Poor Lou. Can't make a buck without getting a bad rap for it....LOL. No, I didn't pay for those picks. The Mrs. charged me my life for that shot (day after wedding)!!!

And she IS smokin' hot. I keep telling her that and she keeps denying it (but I get compensated all the same :D).

So what's your story Esplendito? You obviously have been around the sport for decades and know all the whose who.

My story is spread out over threads here and on MD....but the short version is: started BBing in 1975 and quit altogether in 1990. 14 years later, I started again with a 285lb, fat, out of shape physique. I had 16" arms, 48" chest and 42" waist.
I currently weigh 285lbs with 20 1/2" arms, 56" chest, and 38" waist. I'm 6'-4" and have competed 4 times in the last 2 years.

I was an AAU national physique judge in the 80's, judging the Mr. America, Universe, and several state and regional level shows each year. I was the highest rated national judge for 2 years in 1989-90. I promoted shows in the 80's, too.

My best placing in my first go-round was 2nd in the AAU Jr. USA tall class in 1986.

I won the 50-over in the Central Classic BBing Championship in '07

I have several Golden Era bber's as friends and stay in touch with them.

I will compete again this August in the North American BBing Championships

That definitely helps. I could always tell by your posts that you had a great understanding of the sport but had no idea that your experience level is that extensive. I bet you have some great "back in the day" stories!!!

When your chest is 56", a 38" waist is tiny!

My waist is 38 too, but my chest is only 43!

My waist drops to 35 when I'm dieted down for a show. I lose about 1/2" on my arms and nothing on my chest.
