Tennessee has received its first commitment for the Class of 2013. That's right, 2013. Evan Berry, brother of UT All-American safety Eric Berry, has committed to the Vols even before beginning his freshman season in high school.

Lane Kiffin must committed some kind of violation here. He breaks a rule practically every day.

I wonder who initiated the the conversation that lead to a verbal commitment?

This is very strange for football, basketball it's more common practice although no one talks about it. I remember having college coaches come recruit me back in 95 before i even got to high school. Football they are way more stringent though.

Of course this is Tennessee and like Goodfellas said it's only a verbal.
