Prep with dave is going great! I am 12 weeks out saturday.....I was dizzy the first week:confused:haha but now I feel amazing....no cravings/not hungry and love the cheat meal:D plus I read this forum while I do my cardio so it goes by quick!!:cool: stay tuned.....

I am now in prep mode and train bis/tris once a week(saturday)..we change it up every week..I love to keep it interesting and fun!!...I use medium weight for tris because they get too big!:cool: alot of times I like to superset bis and tris together( I do 3 exercises/3 sets/10--15 reps for smaller muscle groups)you name it we do it!:D

Training is going great! Im 12 weeks out saturday and almost 4 weeks into daves diet...I feel strong on no carbs! surgery is 1.5 weeks after...enough time to come off vitamins that thin blood and to be rehydrated....thanks for asking!;)

For the last 2 years before I moved I did it out of my house...I do miss it but dont want to work for anyone again to rebuild another clientele....so I am focusing more on personal training and will be training trainers to become certified thru propta....Im looking forward to that!:D

My 2 favorite female bodybuilders when I first started were Sue Price and Laura Creaville...I hung both their pics up in my room !! I got hooked and wanted to turn pro after doing the USAs In 2002...it was my first national show and I took 5th...I just really love every part of competing.....
As far as food...I eat it if I am offseason...My fiance is good cook! we treat ourselves on the weekends....when Im in prep mode I stick to my diet! right now with Daves diet I get one cheat meal a week! :D

I am 7 weeks out to the NY Pro show and feel this is the best I have ever looked this far out..I worked really hard offseason to make improvements and decided to try a different approach this time and choose dave P as my prep coach..so far his diet has been the easiest for me and my body has responded very well.....ketosis diet is definitely not easy the first week(boy was I dizzy!) but, after the first week I have never felt better! no craving, no hunger, improved strenth and energy ! stay tuned!......:D

dave palumbo is doing my prep this year. So my cardio program is different. I am 7 weeks out and just started doing 95 minutes of low intensity cardio a day(100-120 bpm I monitor it) I split it into either 2 or 3 sessions(I have a treadmill at my house)Most of it is done first thing in the morning before I eat, 2nd session is usually right after training , then 3rd session in evening before last meal...

As someone instrumental to getting the Tampa Pro back on track...I wanted to throw out something for you to consider (I posted this to Colette and Krissy for them to consider on their show):

IS IT TIME FOR A SUMMITT OF SOME SORT?

Colette and Krissy:

Somehow I think that recrimination and placing blame on individuals will get us no where when it comes to the current state of Female Bodybuiding; so I'll throw this out:

How about a weekend SUMMITT/TOWN MEETING?

It HAS to have Jim Manion; select sponsors ; AND the promoters serving as a panel; maybe DebbieB or Dave or Colette...SOMEONE serving as moderator; with those in attendance having input much like a City or County Commission meeting.

While a separate weekend may be better...it may be more feasible to hold it the weekend of the "AC" or the "Olympia" since most, if not all, parties would already be present.

Keep the Topic Focused and to the Point:

"What can and should be done to make Pro Female Bodybuilding Contest economically viable for the Promoters and Sponsors"?


While we may throw things out here and there on these Forums...this is serious enough of a topic where you have to have input from a) those who put up the money (sponsers and promoters) and b) those who ultimately make decisions (Jim Manion).

Summitts don't always end with the answers we want...but don't you guys think that its about time to do something?

I dont really know what my one rep max is on these exercises...I dont necassarily train heavy because I am muscular enough and at my age its best to use advance training techniques to preserve my ligaments and joints so I can last forever!! at this point I am working on refining my physique and keeping it streamline to appeal to those judges! I have always had back problems so I have had to be careful and choose exercises I was comfortable with..

I just started to squat a little but but dont go heavy....I go heavy on hack squats..405 for 10 reps
I dont usually do flat bench but lately I used 185 for 10 reps
I started to do rack pulls.....its safer for my back I use 315 :D

Hey girlymuscle!;)normally I weigh about 150 offseason....Believe it or not since I turned pro I actually compete lighter! if there are 2 classes I just get under 135 which is the cutoff for the lighter class...this year I got up to 160 because I now live with my new husband who loves to cook and loves for me to eat....he loves the "softer" look....I wore 160 well!
I am working with Dave now and am really enjoying this prep....after I got past the first week of being delirious I started to feel amazing all the way to now...I weighed 137 on saturday...I am doing 105 minutes of cardio now...dave bumped up my fat this week.........so stay tuned..2 more weeks to go...

As far as offseason...I always taper down on cardio after a show so I dont rebound.... after awhile I try to keep it in 3 times a week or sometimes less......I definitely eat well and work in my treats offseason....we save that for the weekends and eat clean all week....I will work with dave this time and try his offseason protocal!

awww what a sweetie, thanks for checking in on me.....everything went well...I am headed home to alabama today. I will start cardio possibly tomorow(just low impact) and weights on monday hopefully(just no chest at first) I went from 325 to 700 ccs ..under the muscle again ..silicone gels.......the 2nd time is so much easier as far as pain and recovery.....I will be 9 weeks out sat from tampa..I will be busting my butt to get in shape...right now I am puffy from show rebound and surgery so I am sure my body will change alot once I start prep.....I was so happy with my prep and how I looked in NY(we are just gonna carb me up a little more since I was shredded)I hope to qualify for ms o in tampa! how are things with you???;)

I want to keep improving and bring a look that Im 100% satisified with. I work on bringing a look they say they want which is a streamline, feminine look. I do have genetic structural flaws in my physique and while I have done well in my pro career with my placings I know I wont ever be MS Olympia. I do believe I deserve to be on that stage with the best. My strong point is my conditioning, presentation, creative posing routines,energy, feminity,love for the sport(im a fan of so many other woman) and helping others. My next show is NY pro show and my goal is top 3 to requalify for Ms Olympia.:)

I would say my strong point is my mindset. I have always believed in doing self development work and as a result I have a very positive mindset and attitude.The mind is very powerful and very important in ones success. However having a positive mindset wont make someone taller or change someones structure,genetics etc. I have accepted what god gave me and can only enhance and build on that. I will always work on being my best. Not everyone can be mr or ms olympia. It takes the right structure/frame/limb length/genetics along with alot of work. My structural flaws(bone structure) are having wide hips(which I like offseason:p)also not being blessed with a tiny waist(wide) So I have to work hard on creating an illusion with my leg sweep and back width. My back is my weakest bodypart which is hard to build with my short limbs(people with longer limbs have great backs)(Im working on it!)
I appreciate your compliment and am thrilled to be representing the best in female bbing. I will continue to work hard and improve and enjoy the journey. Hope your training is going well too;)

Theres many exercises that will help your glutes. Of course squatting deep is the best one(push thru your heels and squeeze up top) I also do walking lunges(deep long stretch) sometimes even with no weights and kick the front leg up high and squeeze the opposite glute.Or you can lunge on a smith machine and put one leg behind you on a bench and go up(squeeze as you come up) and down with opposite leg. I do step ups one leg at a time on the end of a bench or box and lift opposite leg up high and squeeze glute you are working. I use a hyperextension machine(bench or whatever you call it :p) to work my glutes(instead of lower back)focus on squeezing glutes instead of your lower back. Stiff legged deads for hamstrings/glute tie-ins(always squeeze glutes and go slow)

Hey Debbie!! Just wondering......you got any tips to make my little shoulders grow? LOL! I just don't know what else to do with them.

What have you tried already? We all have those stubborn bodyparts. Mine is my back. I usually do 4 exercises for shoulders 3 sets each. I will do 2 different pressing moves( either dumbbell press,machine press,barbell press) or one press and upright row(wide grip). I will do lateral raises(either with dumbbells or cable)and something for the back of my shoulders(reverse pec dec, bent over cable raise, bentover dumbbell raise,cable pull with rope arms up high and squeeze back) Since I am doing keto diet I train with lower reps. When I was on a diet with carbs I would switch and do high reps , supersets and some days do lower reps. I always do full range of motion and controlled reps. Would love to know what you have tried.
