DETROIT (AP) -- A person tells The Associated Press that Chicago Bulls (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/teams/bulls) guard Ben Gordon (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/players/3820) is in talks with the Detroit Pistons (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/teams/pistons) about joining the team.

Pistons spokesman Kevin Grigg declined comment on Gordon's situation Wednesday, saying there's an NBA moratorium on discussing free-agent matters.

But a person close to the talks says Gordon was in Michigan on Wednesday. The person declined to be identified because the talks are private, but says Gordon was meeting with Joe Dumars, Detroit's president for player personnel.

Gordon was Chicago's top scorer the past four years and became an unrestricted free agent after the season. Bulls officials have said bringing him back next year was a top priority.

Gordan took the same money from the Pistons that the Bulls offered him. He must of just wanted out of Chicago.

I read an article quoting him saying the bulls never offered him a contract, BS?

I'm not sure but I heard they offered him 5 years $50 mil or six years for $55 mil

I think they might be moving Rasheed Wallace though. At best, adding Ben Gordon with get them fighting for 8th place in the east. I doubt they make the playoffs next year.

Ben has been offered contracts from Chicago for at least the past two offseasons. He just didn't mesh really well in Chicago. Never got along real well with the media, fans, or coaches.

Ben in Chicago was more like this is what I do and you are going to adjust to me. I'm sure he will be great on the Pistons I think he just wanted out of Chicago for a while now
