First of all i have not tried this, but i want too and i feel this is important enough to list on the general forum instead of just the peptide seccion. But here is some information on the peitide:
ADIPOTTIDE
http://www.arrowheadresearch.com/sites/default/files/imageblock/mice.jpg
(RESULTS FROM THE STUDY ON RATS)
what it does:
(administered by injection) Dissolve body fat by attacking the blood cells that supply them, cutting off their fuel supply an preventing them from multiplying.
trials:
Published data include reports that obese study animals lost nearly one third of their body weight after one month of daily subcutaneous injections.
the subjects were mice andrheusus Monkeys
HUMAN TRIALS have begun(but i could nto find the resutls only the overall research proccedure) If you want to look(which will be extremely helpful) check out:visit http://www.clinicaltrials.gov ( it has FDA approved)http://www.arrowheadresearch.com/adipotide(based on this article)
original use:
It was used as a form of cancer treatment as it was designed to starve cancer cells of blood supply prohibit them from growing. However, the effects of Adipotide have actually shown it starves fat cells of blood, which forces them to die and be reabsorbed into the body. so, now its used as a form to treat extreme obese patients.
(created by Dr. Wadih Arap and Renata Pasqualini)
advantages:
Shown to promote weight loss in preclinical studies.
Shown to reduce symptoms of diabetes.
Novel mechanism compared to other therapeutics on the market or in trials.
No modulation of neurotransmitters, thus unlikely to have psychological side effects.
No amphetamine-like mechanism.
Mechanism not likely to yield GI side effects.
Disadvantages:
Not alot is known of the compound as far as disadvantages go, but in the original trials with the mice and monkeys somethings showed up:
dehydration
small kidney lesions
and if left untreated overall kidney failure
Well thats about because i do not want to list dosing because I do not know the tue dosing and complete adverse side effects, but i will say that the injections need to be subcutaneous directly into the place you want the fat to be removed.
But overall this seems like a very interesting compound, please leave any more information on here as im am very interested in what others have to say about this also:
