Even though the summer is upon us, not everyone is getting beach ready, not everyone is trying to shed a few pounds on the beach, there are still going to be those who are trying to add some size and fill out their frame.

In this article I am going to go into detail on some mistakes, what some people may think is optimal for gaining mass/muscle, and some other perspectives from other coaches out there regarding what they believe in, and what they feel is an optimal thing to do when chasing gaining weight and gaining lean body mass.

To all of those who are competitors and trying to grow into a weight class this may be a beneficial article (Currently doing the same myself growing into a middleweight from a lightweight), so this advice is based off my findings and also what I have seen other contest prep coaches do in the offseason.
