Hi all,
I have asked a couple of PM's here but I wanted to go ahead and start my log and gather more advice.
Started a Var cycle today (normal split am/pm)
11 weeks from first show this yr.
42 yo
under 5'
115 lbs
approx 16% BF
currently on a carb cycle, lifting/cardio 5 days wk

Could someone please let me know what I might expect to see first? When I might see results? Is there anything (vitamins) I need to take with it? Anything you might suggest where diet is concerned? Aside from eating? Lol
I am mostly holding majority of fat in the normal womanly areas -hips, thighs, butt. Upper body seems to already be tightening up. However, I remember it being like this first comp prep too.

What dosage are you running?

Within the first 10 days the most common side you'll notice is increased clitoral sensitivity. After that you should start seeing things like greater recovery, strength increases, potentially some increased acne & oily skin, and bacne. Also on your normal menstrual schedule, expect to see sporadic breakthru or interrupted period over the next couple months.

One of the biggest effects of AAS is the recovery. Take advantage of that lift like you've never lifted before because your body can accommodate it. But still remember to not get carried away w/ lifting heavier and heavier because " you can". Keep in mind that the weakest links in the chain - tendons, ligaments - are not necessarily going to be "gaining" like your muscles. And additionally, that "recovery" ability can tend to mask actual joint or muscle injuries which you might actually notice a lot more when you come off & the compound clears. Lift in consistently steady increments of increase. Not big jumps and use common sense to manage your increases. Small, incremental increases. You will probably start to see a plateau in lift strength as you dial into your show since you wont' be eating for growth but specifically for cutting. There is where the recovery capability will be a great asset.

Last comment is pay attention to if you notice that you retain water or not on var. If you do, I would strongly recommend to drop the cycle at 7-10 days out from your target date so your body can flush the retained water. Else just run it thru your show date. No need to ramp down or anything.

I would recommend using a probiotic or acidophilus in your supplement pile to help prevent yeast infections.

Everything was Sassy said is so true!!

I also like to add on my dosage (10mg am / 10mg pm) my ab area getting harder by week 2-3 and this is without doing anything different ab wise. Also there's just a hardening all over fairly quickly.

My menstrul cycle is on time but so light and short (2-3 days) & absolutely zero cramps which is why I love this stuff...probably too much lol

Towards the end of the cycle I get shoulder acne, but once I stop the cycle completely, forget it I break out so much facially.

Keep your diet in check, because your muscles are growing but you want to be lean enough to see them and not just bulk lol I made the mistake once of taking it and not following a good diet and I just looked thick but solid (tight)

I enjoyed the increased sexual libido

Hi all. Thanks for responding. Well, I FINALLY Got my var today, started it tonight. I am starting 5mg am/5 mg pm.
My order is 50 tabs, at that it will last until just at 2 weeks prior to my show. I will stop it then just to make sure I dry out properly. Aside from the acidophilus, is there anything else I should add to the regime? I've heard some-or-other about liver something. Forgive my ignorance.

Q2: is it still ok to take my "fat burner", or are there contraindications on that?

Oh my the way, my trainer just put me on a two-day carb cycle. Two days low, one day moderate and so forth. I will post diet and training log more regularly now. I also think we are taking pics tomorrow. If so, I will post before pics to keep an accurate record.

I should probably note that my first post where I stated I started a cycle was not true. I found out what I ordered was not the real deal, it was an alternative (plant/organic) based something or other. Anyway, I didn't take it and returned it. Got my money back and found a reputable place.
So, hence starting tonight as they just came in today.

Not sure I know what I'm talkin about, so we're good. Lmao.

I read somewhere you should include some supplement for the liver or a liver oil. I will have to look it up again.

Found your log. Looks good. I didn't take anything for my liver. I read that the smaller doses females take have a mild effect. I do see some people have taken some supplements for the liver tthough. What dosage are you planning on running? I saw you started at 10mg per day. Are you staying there. I started at 5mg to check sides, then ran 10mg the rest of the cycle.

I am only 3 days into my cycle. Nothing yet, but at a week or so, I may run 10/10. I am very interested in seeing what happens. Diet is staying in check but I'm constantly starving. Could just be my carb cycle and being 8 weeks out.

Been on 11 days now, no real sides noticed. I feel pretty good in the gym, however I haven't lifted for the past 4 days. We've been out of town on vacation and I didn't get to the gym. Cardio and lots of moving around we're a given - no prob there.
Getting back into the gym will be a welcomed release. Lol.
I'm thinking of increasing my dosage to 10 mg AM/10 mg PM. There is only 7 weeks to comp time. I need to get a move on. Still gotta get my suit blinged out and now I've got about 10 lbs to lose and start tightening up. Fish diet here I come. Lol.

You're better of NOT doing it than doing it. No, it won't kill you, but it's a decision YOU can make about much stress you want to put on your body while you also choose to pound it w/ anabolic steroids.

Wanted to report in:
A) finished my first cycle
B) gained 5 lbs while staying lean--woo hoo
C) decided not to do the Sept show. Too much else going on
D) just placed order to do another cycle.

I love it and loved all of the gains. The only real SE's I noted are oily hair and skin.
Great strength in the gym, sleeping better.
My shirts are tighter around my lats and traps and shoulders seem to stand up a little more. Can't wait for my second go round.

2nd cycle in full effect. Been on about 10 days already. Still noticing great strength - increased weights and sticking right around 120-ish. Feeling a little bloated and looking watery around oblique areas. Looking "thicker" though. More cardio up on deck and more protein.

For the water, you might try a short carb cycle to see if it is specifically AAS-related or diet related - just put your higher carb days on the heavier lifting days.

Thanks Sassy. I did just that actually, got a vet friends help with diet and ended up in a great place. Added about 4/5 more lbs so after 2nd go round and a clean diet this whole month, I sit at 111/112. Feeling great.
Been off now about 3 weeks and thinking about movin on up after the holidays so naturally I have questions about Winny. Can you point me in the right direction?

Ok so, from what I read the Win is not for adding mass - more used for cutting. Correct? Here's my thoughts then, go back to Var again for a third cycle, run about 10 -12 weeks and move up . (2nd cycle was 10am, 10 pm) I really like this dosage and just wondering where to go from here.
Current weight: between 110-112
Current BF: 13%
Current diet: no particular plan just lots of clean foods with typical treats
Current training: heavy
Current cardio: 2-3 days week, steady state
Current sups: BCAA, pre-workout, Phenbuterol and protein shakes

Any advice is as always greatly appreciated.

PS: looking to put on as much as possible to hopefully move out of figure and into physique next year.
