View Full Version : when do you carb up or cycle card on Dave's diet

I found Dave's diet on the internet and I am following the 250+ person plan. I'm 6'1 and 290 now. I lost 10 lbs in the last week.
I eat about 2700-2900 calories per day. Staying under 30 grams of carbs.

When do I carb up or start to rotate the veggie/low fat days?

Do I stick with no carbs for as long as possible?

I believe dave says to have one cheat meal a week, last meal of that day. And eat anything you want to (without going compleatly crazy).

I'm not sure about the vegie/low fat days I thought that was his womans program only.

CHEAT MEAL: You should have ONE MEAL per week where you eat what you want. If you have a psychotic appetite, try to limit you cheat meal to about 500g carbs the most (remember, that's the MOST)..........As it gets closer to a show, many times I have to cut out the cheat meal to help the bodybuilder suck out that last bit of stubborn fat.

You get one "cheat meal" once a week as the last meal of the day after you've been on the diet with NO carbs for two weeks.

If you've got a lot of fat to lose, I believe in making those meals much more moderate like a steak and a potato or two until you get leaner.
