body fat calipers

hey folks, i was just wondering about measuring body fat % with a calipers as against a hand held device. How does the calipers work,is it pinch your abs,thigh,back arm and what happens then,how do you calculate the bf%. i currently use the hand held 1 but am convinced its not that accurate. thanks.

True accuracy takes hundreds of hours of experience and a caliper that costs hundreds of dollars.

a listen frosty mate,relax! i was lookin for info on how to get a bf measurement using a calipers and after your answer i was no better off and that why i said it was unhelpfull. it takes hundreds of hours of practice,im not doubting that but where do you start and whats the basic premice of measuring bf with a calipers. I meant no disrespect,i was just trying to make myself more knowledgable on this issue

Its not the most accurate but its very easy to self use and quick.
