Conclusion...Dicking around. I was doing a chest workout the other day.I went to the flat bench area,did 3 warm up sets and only after I had done my 3rd working set did the 180lb-ish kid who I had found on the bench next to mine get down and do a set of 6 with 120lbs ,which wasn't to failure either. I did 2 more sets and left him sat there staring into space having only done the single set. Now if that was the only bench in the building, or if all the others were real I certainly wouldn't, even worse if he was monkeying around .

MuscleSport Magazine reached out to Centopani, as well as co-owners of the Powerhouse Gym Darin and Jerry Montanari without receiving a reply. MSM contacted Lapborisuth, who wanted to clarify the part of his post about race.

“Both of my friends that were there with me were white, but I do not want to blame race as I was the one voicing out that we had the right to use the equipment as much as he did and it was probably that he overheard me more than because of who I am,” he explained. Lapborisuth further stated that he did not sustain any physical injuries.

We contacted the New Haven Police Department and were informed that the report was for “assault/fight” with no physical injury listed and the responding officer did not perform a preliminary investigation because the complainant (Lapborisuth) had stated at that time that he did not wish to press charges.

This is barely anything legal-wise, let alone a bias incident. For that to have been reported, the bad guy has to go after the good guy for no other reason. Once there was any altercation - even of the verbal variety - to lead up to it, then it is not deemed bias at all.

I like Centopani but I am going to have to agree. This whole thing has been neatly swept under the rug. If you look on his instagram all the comments that pertained to the situation..close to 300 comments have been deleted. His response made barely any reference to the situation and sounded like his lawyer wrote it. I think evan and the accuser made a deal t make this whole thing go away nice and clean.

What I'd like to see is more common sense and less litigation. Why can't people be civil yet direct and honest. Everyone gets butt-hurt immediately and refuses to have any kind of discussion about anything. Unbending one-sided annoyances.

I have no idea what went on at that gym, but at least two people probably showed disrespect to each other and then others saw an opportunity to instigate or turn up the drama by calling the local police.

We've all seen the screaming banshee type videos of drama on Facebook. Bunch of morons, all with their cellphones recording the drama, screaming for blood over some petty 'disrespect' and the moment it goes down (with the associated Adrenalin hit they all get) the screeching changes to a moan and you know half of them are thinking 'f****kkkk'. In the US and very much now in the UK the second thought (as in this case cos someone will think Evan has cash to spare) is 'compensation!'.

Given I'm no light weight had Evan and I gone at it we'd have both ended up bruised and feeling moronically sorry. But whinging to the Police or thinking of getting a lawyer involved? Hell no. I'd be more likely to say 'well that was stupid' and hand him a share of the ice we'd both need to reduce the swelling lol

You're absolutely right. I'm a parent of two teenagers (one girl, one boy) and tried to raise them with a bit of the old school mentality. Don't start shit you can't finish, don't be a rat and don't let people dick you around.

But there's a limit to that with this faggy day and age of 'social media justice.'
