If you are a natural guy they are a must, especially if you miss a meal

I only use them when I am training fasted. I will do 10g pre and 10g post when I use them.

I do like BCAAs and supplement with them daily - but honestly, I feel like they are just the latest fad. Mark my words. In 5 years, no one will be talking about intra workout nutrition/BCAA anymore and everyone will be on to something else.

Especially when bulking and in a calorie surplus - you really don't need to supplement with BCAAs. The only place where they really have merit is before and after fasted cardio.

I was using BCAAs 10 years ago and it is hardly a fad.

They do wonders training fasted to hold on to muscle and reduce fat.
