"After waiting to think and wrap my head around the events that occurred last night.. Warhammer has lost a close family member and friend. Joanna Wilson died last night from health complications while in las vegas. our heart goes out to Jay Wilson and family. please keep them in your thoughts as they go through what i can only imagine is a devastating and confusing time. R.I.P to a great friend-mother-wife-competitor . she will be missed."

Holy shit..... I can't believe this. I was working with Joanna at the beginning of this prep. After a few weeks she told me she felt too disconnected with me coaching her on line, that she wanted a local coach she could see in person. I totally understood and told her I'd always be available if she needed me, but that was the last we talked of contest prep. I know she was determined to get her pro card this time. She told me when we first talked about prep, she was "coming home with the hardware." Joanna complained about not feeling well for at least the last two or three weeks according her Face Book posts, who knows if this is related. I'm sure more details will eventually come out. I feel terrible for her family, our deepest condolences. R.I.P.

She was one of my favorite competitors in the NPC. I was hoping she would get a chance to compete in the pro level. My heart goes out to her family and friends during this time. :(
