Inguinal hernia

I went to the doctor from 2 days he told me that I have inguinal hernia on both sides. On the left side he said surgery must be done but on the right side their is a small hernia I can stay without doing but it may become serious in 5 years or never. Do u recommend me to do the surgery on both sides or only on my left?
