VS shoes are great although the very high heel might be great for traditional Oly lifting but not as functional for other barbell lifts. That is why I prefer the Rogues because it has a more conservative heel lift that can transfer over to all barbell lifts better.

VS recently made a new shoe with a smaller heel. Check these out. Pretty sweet.

XL Athlete have replaced their Do-Win shoes with Risto Leather Weightlifting Shoes (http://209.20.82.115:85/zencard/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=78_75&zenid=787a15a82f1cf92f59bdd9b89b6ed79f) .

From their website:

The Risto Weightlifting Shoe, hand made in the Americas, is one of the lightest and most durable leather weightlifting shoes on the market today. Shoes are available in several different colors:

Black (http://209.20.82.115:85/zencard/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=78_75&products_id=323)

I have not used these shoes but hear they are fantastic. For those lift technicians: it should be noted that the sole of these shoes slightly changes angles to accommodate the rocking motion of weight distribution during pulls.

Thanks for putting all that info together. I've been using walking shoes for the last two years and I know and need some new ones but not sure where or what to look for.

It is not wise to train legs or back in walking shoes. You can seriously injure yourself with improper shoes. You need stability in the shoes which no walking, running, or crosstraining shoe will provide.

I use Pullum Sports in the UK, the guys that run the place are lifters and give pretty sound advice on the products, they're good for suits too.

Just don't do any Oly Lifts in those. I know how popular Oly Lifting is becoming in Crossfit.

Juggernaut, how the f**k did you find $20 Chuck Taylor's??? They're $40 and up all over the place. Guess I gotta wait for a sale, huh?

I personally use the Safe low-cut shoe for all of my lifting. I'll probably be switching over to the Magnum boots as I like to "roll" my ankles during my squat. I do especially like those Adidas powerlifting shoes, but for now it will be Titan/Safe and Magnum. :yep:

Actually, that place was a dying breed full of great things. The "food court" was dirty as hell, but the video game arcade and the deals you found were phenomenal.

Most of the time, anything I need, I can find on ebay. The problem is the shipping is what gets you.

Agree 100 percent. Def filled with the ghetto atmosphere that is so lacking in many of today's arcade rooms.

Yeah, I am an Ebay whore; I go to malls to try stuff on and get it on Ebay. :yep: I always look @ shipping as some sellers can get you if you don't pay attention.
