I've got a thread in the Men's training journal but since I am technically a Masters (44 in Sept) I thought I would move over here. Here are some pics and the training session for today. I am planning on doing a show next spring so here we go.

I can do that. You're right about the leaning out some. I am 6'0 and 255 last time I was on the scale. I will put down the individual measurements soon. I had my bf checked and I need to to be @ 208 to be 5%.

that's damn good weight at 5%.

I have to get down to 170 or less to get to 5%. Ironically we both need to cut the same amount of weight, roughly. I will be following your progress. Best of luck!

Well I need to update for this week. I am changing my split up a little. I am giving arms a day of there own and switching some things around. I did arms Sunday and back yesterday so.....

UH bb rows: 135x10, 185x10, 225x8, 245x6
db rows: 85x8, 105x8, 125x6
Hypers:15, 25x15, 45x12

about 10 sets for abs. Not a bad workout felt pretty good overall

Don't remember the numbers for the arm workout Sunday so I won't post those this week.

Don't normally work out at the Y but the wife wanted to go so I hit it last night.

Not a bad workout. Had 2 scoops of isolyze post workout and went to bed.

Leg day today!! I took a break from the heavier weights and went high reps today only.

Leg ext: 50x20, 60x20,90x20, 110x20
ss/ lying leg curls:40x20, 50x20, 60x20, 70x20

Leg Press:180x20, 270x20, 360x15, 450x15 These were done slow and controlled. I was aiming for a 2-3 second concentric and eccentric motion
BB squats: 135x20, 185x15, 225x15, 225x15, 315x12

Wow they are done!! I haven't done anything like this for awhile so it felt pretty good.

Seated calf:90x30, 115x25, 125x25, 135x20
Leg press calf:180x30, 270x25, 360x25, 450x20

Good workout today. Had my post workout protein and carbs and I am done for the week. Good week of training. I will post numbers and new pix next week.

Sorry I haven't posted anything this week. The company I work is hiring and I was tied up all week doing interviews. 96 people for 10+ spots. That shit sucks!! I got all my training in this week but i am not going to post everything at once. I'm glad I don't do that kind of crap very often!!

Well I dropped a 35lb plate on my big toe adn I'm pretty sure it's broken. Looks like no leg days for awhile. This is going to slow up my training. Any suggestions??

Hit back tonight. Trained around the toe issue but didn't seem to bother me that much.

Calves might be hard to train, but I'm guessing you'll be able to do everything else.

Ok so I was gone on business to Cleveland for 2.5 days and the eating wasn't bad but the open bar on Thursday led to some unfortunate things happening. Let's jsut say at my age 13 beers and 12 shots of Crown and Jose Cuervo can make you do things you wouldn't normally do and no I didn't get sick. Home last night and watched my son's JV football game they won 21-0 WOOT WOOT!! Back in the gym today!

Well this is the first time I trained legs since I smaked the beejeebus out of my toe. Thought I would just kind of take it easy nothing crazy so ......
Leg ext 4 sets to warm up
Squats 135x12, 225x10, 315x10
Hack squats:90x15, 180x12, 180x12
Single Leg extensions:50x10, 70x10, 80x10
Seated leg curls: 4 sets
Standing calf 5 sets

Legs didn't feel too bad just kind of went easy today because on a few things the toe was still a bit tender. Should be good to go next week.

Took a little break from the boards for the most part for the last week. Between the job, wife, girlfriend and everyone else wanting a piece of my time I need to back up and get back to the real world from time to time. Well the decision has been made and I am going forward with a spring show in Dayton, OH. I believe that it's May 14th so this will be the journey there. Don't know how I will be doing the macro's and the training as of right now but I'll be including pix this week and updating as much as possible and as time allows. I am looking at a diet of about 3100 calories per day with a 50/30/20 breakdown. I will adjust as time goes on and I start seeing changes. I am currently weighing roughly 258-260 depending on the scale and the time of day. So now begins my love affair with chicken, tuna, brown rice and broccoli. So get in, sit down, buckle up and shut the hell up and hold on for the ride :)

Boy, does that bring back memories! Some old school diet food. I ate so much tuna in the 70's and early 80's that I though I was growing gills!

I grew up in Columbus and get back there often. I might plan to attend your show.
Go to the 'Total Package' thread here in the Masters forum and take a look at Robert's picture. I prepped him for that show. He took home 5 trophies. I'm working with 2 other masters, prepping them for their shows, too. Let me know!

How's it guys. Been training the last few days but have not updated because of a big maintenance outage at our mill. Talked to a local guy and he has me on a clean bulk right now apparently it's way too early to start any sort of cut. I may do my contest prep with Esplendido and start about the end of December. I spoke with him and he says that's plenty of time to drop the weight I need to. Yesterday was Delts/tri's

What's up fellow Rx'ers! Work schedule is kinda crazy this week. 7p-7a mon and tue and then 3-11 wed, 11a-11p thur, off friday and 7a-7p sat & sun. Worked out on Sunday and just watched football at the gym. I decided to give arms their own day. I don't have the numbers but it was a damn good workout and Monday was leg day.:)

Warm up 10 minutes cardio
Leg Press: 10-45lb platesx15, 12x12, 16x10, 20x8, 22x8
BB squats: 225x12, 315x10, 405x8, 495x5
Walking lunges: 45lb plate in each handx 100 ft x2

Pretty good leg workout today. Felt kinda queasy at the end of the lunges and that's a good thing. Delts tomorrow.
