Hi, I have a stretched Long Head Biceps Tendon and the surgeon said i need a Tenodesis done and some clean up work (subacromial decompression).

Has anyone had this done? results? did you return to full strength? were you able to progress in your strength building past your pre injury level?

Any alternatives? I have been having Physio etc for 9 months without any luck.

Thanks.

I had mine done after rupturing it among other tendons. I'm almost 4 months post surgery and just got cleared to train. My strength is about the same considering the layoff but my biceps is deformed compared to the original shape.

Recovery from biceps tenodesis is a long process. Complete recovery may take up to a year.

Agreed. It took several months for me but I'm back at 100% now so a full recovery is very possible.
