first time getting blood work

Ok so I am contemplating doing a cycle starting in September. I want to get blood work done so i can see my normal values.


Couple of questions:

What should i ask for exactly?? (i want to get as much info as possible)

and two does it effect insurance? i heard that insurance companies find it sketchy so i should pay out of pocket for it, would you agree with that?

For Men:
Complete Blood Count with Platelets
Fasting Chem Panel
Fasting Lipid Panel (Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, LDL)
Total Testosterone and Free Testosterone
Dihydro-testosterone (DHT)
Estradiol
IGF1, IGBP3 (associated with growth hormone level)
Prostate Specific Antigen

As far as insurance goes, you need to ask them what they will pay for. It may depend how your doc codes the diagnosis. You will need to check with your doc about this part.
