Hey Guys,
I'm from Australia and a mate and I are going to the olympia this year (yeah i know your all wicked jealous). Anyway how does the whole tipping thing work? What do you tip for and how much? Don't want to offend anyone lol.
Cheers

Usually starts at 10% of the bill. Add depending on how good the service was. Minuses don't count if it isn't the servers fault. I like to stick to around 15-20%, its good karma.

Depending on how fancy the place is/how much shit ya got, I'd do 5-20 (thats if you have a fuck-ton). But, thats just me. Usually I only bring one bag and a suitcase so I never need the help.

As a server in a restaurant, I will tell you 15-20% is customary for satisfactory service. That's for restaurants. I don't really know about anything else.

I found in some situations it worked out well to ask the server. I just told em the truth, that we don't routinely tip in Australia, how much should I tip you.
Exept when I ate at Girlymuscles restaurant. I ended up having to sleep with her to pay off the debt.

Yea, agreed. If your at the Orleans, that's not considered upscale, so 5-10 would be fine.
