I vote Brett Rodgers.

I would probably second that, but haven't seen his ground game. So my vote is for Cain. He can stand and bang, great wrestling skills, and can recover well.

I'm gonna go with Lashley, I think he'll surprise us.

Id like to see Lashley to fight a serious opponent, so far he has looked dominant but only against tomato cans. I like Carwin, huge punching power, good wrestling skill, crazy strong and overall big dude. You dont just annihilate a top guy like Gonzaga without serious props (lucky punch or not, its fighting... as the old adage goes a punchers chance)

I thin kLashley will make a big impact. It annoys me that entertainment wrestlers are making the transition I think mainly because I feel like it tarnishes the sport, but they sell tickets so oh well.

wow, I can't believe Cain isn't getting more love on this! I mean what is he 6-0 with 5 of those being by KO? He gets my vote.

Although the toughest guys he has fought have had glass jaws....aka Arlovski & Thompson. :)

I like Lashley over Cain. Both are incredible wrestlers, but Lashley has the size advantage. Cain, however, does have more ring time than Lashley.

yeah, many purists believe the same. however, pro wrestlers have a long history in modern mma and its predecessors. many pro wrestlers entered the mma world and had success including dan severn, ken shamrock, sakuraba, fujita, takayama, etc. mma stars even jumped to pro wrestling such as josh barnett, don fyre, mark coleman, etc.

Shamrock was in the UFC before going to the WWF aswell as prior to.

He was good in the mid 90's from what i've seen of him, but when he came back from pro wrestling he was pretty terrible.

True, but without him the sport may not be where it is today.

he was incredibly influential whether he sucked or not. shamrock at one time was the model of an mma fighter.

but he aged, fighters got better, his chin couldnt take it anymore. also, he might of been too dependent on anabolics. at one time testing was not as rigor.
