Do you think it would work to redistribute fat deposits? How many mgs would you recommend per day?

I was wondering the same thing. It is recommended to apply to your shoulders or abdominal area. If a person has issues loosing fat around his/her midsection would it aid in fat loss???

I use transdermal testosterone 1% in Versabase. This is not an ester, and it acts locally on 5-alpha reductase in the skin, and I strongly suspect it affects local sub-q adipose as well ie aromatase - when I first went "on" I aromatized a shit-tonne of it. I learned quickly to apply it to the delts and inner arms, groin, abs, and vulva. Especially effective after shaving and in a sauna. Yanno, if you want to get more absorbed... <cough> Note that 5-a reductase is plentiful in genital skin, just FYI. If your product is an ester, this will not be a concern. I may ask to switch to propionate for my next batch of transdermal.

I have noticed the systemic effects one would expect from running roughly double the high end of normal female physiologic levels most of the time. Slight lowering of voice (most people either haven't noticed or think I've got on my "serious" voice), a nice little boost in strength and muscle size, some redistribution of lower body fat, but nothing remarkable and this did not come from local application to the legs. Because the skin acts as a depot, you get a bit of a time-release over a few hours. Published Androgel product pharmacokinetic data suggests absorption is in the range of 10% of the active, so 1g of 1% cream supplies 10mg of testosterone to the skin and 1mg systemically. I apply a little in the afternoon and the rest just before I train to get it when I need it - when I'm lifting and when I'm eating afterward.

Hope this helps.
