View Full Version : Making my pro debut summer 2010 journal

ok.....i thought i would retire the old journal and start new....

now that i am not held back by a weigh cut off anymore...and no one knows how much that eases my mind! i can add some muscle where i need to and not be worried by the damn scale. thats reason to celebrate right there.

so my plan of action is still work on my quads and add thickness and width to my back. i would be happy to compete about 120-123 dry. so thats not huge by any means, but i thinkit will fill me out rather nicely.

my split:

mon: chest tris
tues : shoudlers quads
thurs: back thickness bis
fri: legs
sun: back width

i have started doing a pyramid program with RP on my last set, and it has been freaking hard...making me sore as hell and i dont get sore often.

cardio: 20 mins post training or walking my dogs on my days off from work.

diet: still trying to figure it out. i got thrown into off season with out a plan. something i dont usually do, but i was preparing to take 2 weeks off and then prep for nationals.

i plan on the hartford pro in july. the schedule doesnt come out til oct. so that is my plan as of now. i may do 2 depending on the timing and where they are. i understand there will possibly be 5 pro shows other than the o and ac, so yey!!!!!

i an going to start the new supps from my sponsor, needtobuildmuscle.com tomorrow. dieselbolan, epi strong and amplify2(NO product). they are for adding muscle while keeping you lean. taken beofre training.

i have had a great couple weeks...got my pro card....got a sponsor, got approval yesterday for my deviated septum/nose surgery from my insurance company. i need to play the lotto....:)

today is off day from weight training and off work. going to walk my dogs and do house stuff, maybe sit in the sun if its not cloudy.

i still need to sit down and structurize a food plan. george doesnt do it year round and i like it that way. i feel to restricted if i am told what to eat 365. i like the option of variety.

Congrats on getting approved for surgery... that must have been a huge relief! When will that take place now?

Depending on my living situation, if I'm still on the east coast come July, I'll def be in Hartford to support you!

as far as surgery, i need to see my dr. we were waiting on the insurance company before we really got into detail. im hoping soon..my slow time of year at work is nov, so hope then.

im not really increasing yet. i wont do an all out bulk plan til maybe the 1st of the year. im still trying to get an eating plan together.

yes got a sweet room deal fro the AC if u guys havent booked yet. 3 miles from venue, full queen suite, pull out couch, w fridge micro free breakie, fitness center...bla bla ..w taxes it avg to 145 a night. aaa rate. comfort suites on clara ave.

You got snowwww? Aww man... I'm jealous (sorry Erin!!) Snow makes me so happy, although I'm not trying to rush it. I'm enjoying the fact that the warm, sticky weather finally seems to be gone. I love fall! Pumpkin picking and hay rides soon!!

it was gorgeous this morning driving to work. blue sky, snow on the mountain tops and fall colors below. it was a post card. i love where i live..its beautiful, just the winters a bit too long for me.

i have been bad about keeping up with this this week. training is good, doing some yoga and its helping with my tightness.

3 weeks til my surgery and i cant wait! allergies are horrible in the fall and i am constantly stuffed up w a sinus headache. free breathing will be a wonderful thing.

i have decided to relocate my salon to another location and i am so excited! i have been in my location for 15 years and i have a DOUCHEBAG for a landlord. so i have a better spot, and better rent.....happening jan 1.

well my surgery is tuesday. so ill be out of the gym for a couple weeks. i hope to be able to do cardio adter a week and maybe some light weights the 2nd. i dont do down time well at all.

I GOT THE clearance from my dr to start training seriously again..so tomorrow i am increasing my food and starting FST 7 training. i need something new and it seems to work from those that have used it.

i am training back thickness and width seperately as well as hams and quads. ill start posting my workouts tomorrow!

Good to see the doc's given you the go ahead to get back into it.

I'm interested to see how you go with the FST-7 training. Are you consulting with Haney or just going to run it on your own?

I was also thinking of changing my program to this for a couple weeks so i did a test run yesterday and holy crap...those 7 sets are gonna do me in! Not sure if it was because i started out using lower poundage than i'd use on my original program but talk about a huge pump!!!

How many times does this program see you in the gym? Or it hasn't changed from what it was before?

I agree with you on that one! Did legs last night and ive never sweat like this before doing legs ...and I ALWAYS sweat hard doing legs more than any other day. Swore my legs swole (is that a word???) up immediately after the leg ext 7's!!!

Looked like a really great workout!

Happy (belated) Anniversary to you guys! Yesterday was mine and Jon's 2 year, but we didn't do anything either. I like to acknowledge it, but we don't go all out or anything.

So sorry to hear about your friend's husband! :( Life can seriously change in less than an instant. My dad was telling me on Sunday about a couple that he and his GF are friend's with. The wife just got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They're giving her 6 months, but I bet it will be even less than that. It took them a while to diagnose her (they misdiagnosed it as indigestion in the beginning). So sad... then last night, my friend told me that her mom (who's in recovery from breast cancer and just finished chemo for another tumor) just went in for surgery last week for a brain tumor and afterward, the doctors found more lesions all over her organs... Definitely makes me appreciate what I have!

im used to doing it on my own. i do my 7 sets with cables usually so spotters isnt a problem.

Nate and I used it earlier this year as well.....we were constantly sore! I liked it, but a couple of months, it was time to switch things up.

2 more weeks left in my bulk program. i have added an inch and a 1/4 to my arms (15 1/4), really thickened my back and am finally getting a good quad sweep. weight is about 145 ish....maybe more, who knows!

bulk is done. i love fst 7! added some good muscle to my back shoulders and quads...damn quads! weighing in at 145...the most i ever weighed by 12 lbs! so i would like to take some off beofre the AC....
