Hey everyone, this is my first year competing. I'll be heading to Ft. Lauderdale in Nov. for my 1st national show. I'm currently 10 weeks out. Been dieting for 3 weeks now. My 1st show was back in may, in which I won. I've got some extra weight to loose, and still ALOT to learn. Looking forward to hearing your input, advice, critiques, ect along the next 10 weeks! So...here we go. Attached are my pics at 13 weeks out (yellow suit) and 11 weeks out (black suit). I was 136lbs in the yellow, am currently 128lbs. I'll post my training/diet soon. Sorry bout that last message oops. Lets try that again...
Training split:Chest/Tri's/Cardio,Back/Bi's/Cardio,Shoulder/Cardio,Lite Legs/Cardio. Cardio 6days a week, Lift 5 days, and off sundays. My weeks go like this: Wed,sat,sun, I work at a hospital 7am-7pm. Saturday is just cardio and sunday is rest. Tues,thurs i'm in class 11am-2:50pm. Monday and friday, just train hard and rest up.

Diet: Monday,tues,thurs,fri,sunday
7am 20gm whey shake 40 mins of cardio steady pace
8:30am 1/3c oats, 6 egg whites
11:00 3 oz chicken, cucumber or spinach
1:30 3oz chicken, 3oz lean beef, 1/3c brown rice, and 1/2c green beans
3:30 20 gm whey shake, small apple
Train&30 mins HIIT
7-7:30 5oz white fish, 1c greens

Wed&Sat:
7am 20gm Whey shake
8:30 5egg whites, 1 egg, 1/4c oats, 1/8c blueberries
11-11:30 3 oz chicken, cucumber or spinach
2-2:30 5oz white fish, 1/3c white rice, 1/2c green beans
4-4:30 20 gm whey shake, small apple
7:00 3oz chicken, 30 lean beef, 1/2c green beans or asparagus
7:30 Train/50 mins of cardio steady pace
20gm casein shake

So far I feel great...I feel like i'm eating alllll the time but as soon as its about meal time, my stomach growls so it works good. So far cravings haven't been bad. But have noticed a little on the days that I don't eat after 7:30. I drink about a gallon of tea a day and have a few cups of coffee. I've begged the nurses at the hospital to put a catheter in me with a leg bag attached...but...they're not going for it lol. I pea every 15 mins lol! People have already started to notice me tightening up....which is good...but still got ALOT more to do! Becoming alot more vascular in the last week. Starting to come out of my ankles, and around my hips, shoulder ect. 10 WEEKS to go!! Woot woot!

Feel like this time is easier than last time. Spend alot of time in my Bible and in prayer! Couldn't do this without the help/strenght of God! All for His glory! Here i come Ft. Laud!

Well...I'm 21, did my first show in May (1st place short class, 2nd overall), It was the NPC Grand prix Natural Show in Rockford,IL, you can see some pics at hubssportsphotography.com. I decided in Feb i wanted to compete and 8 weeks later i was on stage. I train with Chaundra Tangi, and IFBB Pro (AMAZING btw). She has been such a blessing to my life. For my 1st show i was tiny, only115lbs when i decided to start prepping in feb. Put on 5lbs while dieting but was under 8% bodyfat. Qualified for Jr.Nats....but...didn't compete (still kicking myself in the butt)! Wasn't prepared for the whole rebound effect and totally fell off the wagon this summer. Still training super hard and put on some good muscle...but some bad fat as well. I got up to 136lbs this summer and am now 128. I'd like to get down to 118-115 for my show. I'm really working on building my delts and have put some great size on my back since may. I naturally have large legs from being a runner all through school. I LOVE cardio btw : ) I've been dealing with a strained hip the last week or so from doing a lot of HIIT this summer. : (

But I go to school full time for nursing, work as a CNA here in bloomington,IL and train like there's no tom. Dieting sucks lol but its totally worth it in the end! I've lost ALOT of friends since becoming a BB, but have also made a few, and gained alot of respect. Hey hey there....at work today. Feeling pretty good. Got isotherapy done to my hip so hopefully that will relieve some of the pain soon. Get off at 7:30 and am going for a 50 mins run along the constitution trail. Just work tom. no training, actually sad to say....i don't reallly like my days out of the gym...but know they are necessary. No cravings today yet (phew!) Weight this a.m 129 Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!

Got off work early today...tried going for a run...but got 2 steps and the hip just wouldn't allow it. So...icing and watching football tonight. 40 mins of cardio in the a.m gonna have to go to the gym and get on the elliptical i suppose. Looking more and more vascular each day. Praise God : ) hehe! Send pics to my trainer next week. Energy is good, loving the diet. Gonna book my flight in two weeks and send off my entry fee. Shoulders tom. afternoon and half hour of intervals. Thinking i'll do them on the elliptical or bike? Any suggestions? No pain, no gain, so the harder the better! Really bummed i can't run...i love sprints. No work or class tom. so might spend a little extra time in the gym. Get a really good ab workout in then stretch and ice good. Well Bears kick off in 30 so until tom. Rx can't wait to feel the burn tom. !!!!!!!

Another day closer to Ft.Lauderdale. Woke up this a.m and went the gym at 7am for 40 mins of cardio and abs. Did 20 mins on the elliptical and 20 mins on the stepmill. Felt great today! Weight this a.m was 126 so i'm down ten lbs in 3 weeks. 6 more lbs and i'll be the weight i was for my last show...would like to get down to 115...but don't want to lose any muscle! My trainer wants pics wed. night so i'll be taking some wed. People are really starting to notice my tightening up. I can see it in my chest, face and my arms especially. Veins around my ankles are starting to creep up! : )

Did shoulders today.

Worked today. Hip hurt pretty bad this a.m but felt better and better as the day went on. I was taking ibuprofen every 4hrs so i think that helped. The cuts in my legs are starting to show. Trainer is gonna be sending me a modified diet here pretty soon. She's making a few changes. Also a new workout for shoulders. They are my weakest point. Just can't seem to get them to grow. :dunno: Class tom. no work thank goodness. So many temptations at work! Everyone was getting a kick out of my eating today. The whole breakroom cleared when i put my fish in the micro lol. It was soooo yummy tho! Off to bed for the night...should've been in bed a few hours ago. Getting up at 6:30 to head to the gym for 40 mins of cardio, then to class, and back to the gym for another half hour of intrvals and some light leg work. Nighty night : )

Tom. will be 9 Weeks. Talked to my trainer today. She's keeping my diet the same but bumping up my cardio to 2 40 min sessions a day on my days off and 50 mins on my work days.

Today my hip was feeling alot better. Still sore when i step certain ways. Still limping a bit. Was supposed to be my leg day but since i'm feeling better, i didn't do much, to strain it again.

Cardio: 40 mins walking on a 15 incline at speed 3.5 and 10 mins on the bike level 9
Legs: Leg extensions 20lbsx15,12,12
Leg Curls 3 sets of 10x70lbs
Lying Hamstring Curls 5 sets of 60lbsx12
Cardio: elliptical 2mins level 7/2mins level 9 intervalls for 30 mins

I've got shoulders again tom. My bf is gonna show me some things to do to try and get some size on those dam things! I have a feeling they're gonna be burning by the end of the workout! Can't wait : )

You're in the right place! There are several of us getting ready for nationals.

I'm doing 100 minutes a day right now in cardio. lol I got a little bigish in the off season. ;)

ugh me too! I was not prepared for the rebound, and didn't realize obssed i'd become with food! Competing changes you! Luckily my body is responding quickly

Thanks....yeah, 9 weeks today and this a.m getting up for cardio was getting harder! But gotta do it..so here I go! 40 mins...piece of cake right!? : )

Was tired today, could've just laid on the couch ALLLLLL day! Hip feels better and better each day but hurts on and off with certain movements. One of the trainers at Golds who's a pro Natural bb asked me if i'd ever considered bb instead of figure today...lol...i said no thank you. She said i have perfect legs for bb...so i guess that was a compliment : ) Hopefully i have an upperbody to match when it comes time to walk out on that stage! I'm determined to get these dam shoulders to grow!!!! If only I knew all along what I know now! All those years as an athlete in the gym lifting and never doing shoulders!!! Kicking myself in the butt now!

Well today I experienced something better than sex! I watched the bears game AND burned 1000 cals at the same time! And they won...so today my friends was a goooood day! :) But anyway, I worked today, yesterday rested. Did an hour walking on a 15%incline level 3.5 speed. I tried running but it still hurts way toooo bad! EF!!! I'm starting to think i'm prob gonna be dealing with this for the whole prep and just have to take time off cardio when my show's over. Weight fluctuates between 125 and 127 daily. My trainer is taking one of my high days away, so wed is my only high day. I get an egg yolk and some blueberries with my 2nd meal and a casein shake before bed.

Just got home from FUEL, its the youth ministry service I go to on sunday nights! Always feel so refreshed and strengthened after worship!

The usual 40 mins of cardio in the a.m then Back/bi's and another 40mins of cardio tom night. Another day closer...times a flyin!

My Bi's felt really weak today for some reason, didn't get a very good workout in at all on them! I think i might try training them on a dif. day. My wrists kept giving out when i was doing my alternating DB curls and I couldn't hold ontop them. My forearms were so tight!

Weight today was 126. My legs are really starting to come out, more than last time I dieted. I've been working on my front pose alot. I think i'm gettin it down. I've been trying too hard. It looks much better when I just relax. Well time to study for a test i'm prob gonna fail tom. Chest and tri's tom.

Woke up this a.m extremely sore! Felt like hell warmed over! My bi's and forearms were really tight and tender. Not sure why. Wear and tear i suppose. Did 20mins on the stair mill at level 10 and 20 mins on the archtrainer level 30 resistance level 10incline.

Trained chest and tri's tonight:
Pushups to fatigue to warm up
Flat DB Fly's 25x10,27.5x8x2,30x6
Incline DB Press 30x10,35x8x2(arms and wrists extremely fatigued. Usually press 40's for 6 but could barely finish my 8's)

SSw/assisted dips 12,10,8
Tricep Pushdowns 90x10,70x8x2 (again, arms fatigued, couldn't get my usual reps or weight in)

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Tom. i will do a little legs and just 50-60mins of cardio. Give my upperbody a break and hit shoulders hard on thursday. Might train bi's thursday morning after cardio and do shoulders thursday night before cardio. I didn't get a very good workout on them yesterday. Just pump em up maybe do some high rep stuff. We'll see. Weight today 125. Friday will be 8 weeks. Almost half way!

Oh yeah almost forgot Cardio tonight was 40 mins. 5 min warm-up then 30 mins of intervals on the glider. The interval setting. The crossramp changed every 60secs from 4 to 10 and I went as fast as i could for 30 sec then steady pace for 30 secs. I had a small pond of sweat underneath me if that tells you anything. Was pretty intense! Finished with 5 mins of walking on the treadmill at 15%incline speed 3

Good morning good morning!!! Didn't get on yesterday...sorry. But Wed i worked 7a.m to 7p.m so I just gave me legs a quick pump. Did some extendsions and hamstring curls. Someone said they could see the cuts in my hamstrings really well while i was doing them! YAY! Then i did an hour of cardio.

yesterday i did an hour of cardio at 7a.m then came back last night for shoulders and another 40 mins of cardio.

I'm 8 Weeks out as of yesterday! Thank you so much!!! I'm super excited! I've gotta get my posing down, i know my body will be ready because I refuse for it not to be lol....but it doesn't matter if you can't present it well!

Well, at work today til 7pm. :( Super bored....but feeling really good as far as diet goes. Little sore today. I did DL yesterday and it irritated my hip but other than that things are coming along well i think. I'll be sending pics to my trainer at the end of next week.

My trainer can't see me since we are doing it over the phone and thru email so she just wants to know my weight, but pics take away so much defenition!!! Ok...sorry its been a few days since I posted anything. Well saturday...saturday I broke down and gave myself a cheat day! I hadn't gotten one yet, and figured...i'm 8 weeks out, if i'm gonna cheat, i better get it out of my system...so yeah. Sunday I spent 2 hours doing cardio because I felt pretty guilty! lol I went out for mexican food and had a steak fajita quesadilla, chips and salsa and 3 margaritas!!! ugh...it tasted so good, but man i felt like i'd comitted murder!

I was supposed to have a high day today, but since I had my cheat meal on saturday I didn't do my high day. I'm supposed to be doing 80mins of cardio 4 days and 60 mins 2 days but I've been doing extra. My arms looked HUGE yesterday because of the carb load i had saturday night! I really don't want my arms to get any bigger, so i'm gonna start doing low weight high rep on every thing for bi's and tri's. i had another competitor/trainer look at me yesterday and she couldn't believe how much muscle i have put on since my last show. i guess i'm just a genetic freak?:dunno: working my butt off prob has a lil something to do with it tho too. Today the girls at work were trying to get me to take my clothes off and show them my muscles in an empty patient's room....but i refused. As if this sport isn't vain enough, i'm not about to go striking poses and flashing people at work. they wanna see me, they can come to a show!!! Well its way past my bedtime....cardio in the a.m, class tom. afternoon,back and more cardio, then Bible study with the ladies tom. night! busy busy busy!

Ok, so tom when i put pics up I def. need some people's input! A few guys at the gym have told me that I'm getting too big and I should stop lifting so heavy and i'm starting to look like a bb not figure! I'M DOING A NATIONAL SHOW!!!! They just don't understand I don't think! I look at pic of national competitors all the time (actually hanging on my fridge,kitchen cabinents, and bathroom mirrors!) and I don't think i'm any bigger than them! Especially once i'm up on that stage! UGH, frustrating! So please tom. when I put pics up, can someone give me some input...people who actually know what they are talking about!? Sigh......

but anyway...i did Back today. 7:30 a.mStarted the morning off with an hour of cardio. Walked on a 15incline at 3.5 spead, not hanging on. Did 3 sets of 15 SLDL's only 60lbs really slow and a few sets of Db side laterals and abs too.

My stomach is feeling a little queezy today...i couldn't eat my last meal. I had to throw my fish away...i'm about sick of fish! No...I AM sick of fish! I had a shake right after my workout and am gonna have a casein before bed. I got my salad down at dinner...that was it. Time for bed!

SHOULDER DAY!!!! Whoot whoot!!!! :) Doing an hour of cardio and lifting early today cuz I got alot going on today. Then i'll do another hour of cardio later this afternoon. Just had some oatmeal and egg whites mixed together with cinnamin and splenda! (my fav. meal of the day) Gonna let that settle and go blast my delts! Hope you all have a blessed day

Well it's almost 4a.m and i can't sleep! I feel like crap because I didn't get any cardio in this weekend. I worked until 7 both sat and sunday and the gym closed at 7! Looks like i get to do extra today!!!! Sent pics to my trainer friday, she was please. Said i'm on track, but prob gonna bump my cardio up this week and prob get rid of my high day. My camera died right as i was getting ready to take pics, so a trainer at the gym had to take them on her phone and send them for me, so i don't have any good ones. but here are a few we took at the house the other night. Trainer was please with my posing improvements. I've noticed my hip feeling ALOT better, but Chaundra said no running anyway...so just gonna keep doing what i'm doing.

I've been reading the book Fasting, by Jentezen Franklin....I def def. suggest it for any christians out there! or even if you aren't a christian...the book is amazing! its given me a whole new outlook on dieting!

Well in a few hours i'm gonna get some cardio in...at least an hour. Think i'm gonna spend some time in the sauna today too. Get rid of some water I might be holding from not doing my cardio this weekend. :byeg: so sad to even read that....missing cardio is like losing 50 bucks!!!! Its like my meditation time...I got my ipod on my fav. tunes...i'm sweating...i just love it! Well i'm gonna try and get some rest. Getting up in 3 hours. Training chest and tri's this afternoon and doing more cardio...then lounging on the couch for some monday night football!!!! God bless!

Really, you don't like it?! Oh man...i just LOVE it...i even eat in the off season like that! :p My weekend was good/bad! I wasn't in the gym AT ALL!!!! wich equals bad...but i had a good 2days at work and got baptized at church last night, so that was pretty amazing! No cheat meals...i wasn't even supposed to have the one i did a week ago! shhh! ;) Cheating is never worth it....it always messes with my head and the guilt that comes along with it...nope..never worth fullfilling the craving...yet i still find myself doing it every once in a while! Huh,I assumed you were already baptised. Well a huge congrats on that. :hmn:My mother was in her early 40's when she got her sacraments. They do it during the Easter Vigal mass here. Baptism,first communion,confession, and confirmation all in one. I'm sure it was an amazing night for you as well. Congrats.

I was baptized back when i was younger, but didn't really know the meaning behind it, it wasn't my choice, but just something my parents did. Now that I'm older, and have surrendered my life to serving Christ, I wanted to do it again, being submerged in the water, symbolizing i've been washed clean of my sins, and am dead to my old self, and alive in Christ, with a heart that desires to be obedient to Him and bring glory to His name! But thank you so much, it was pretty awesome...def gave me motivation to work even harder in all that I do!

I trained chest and tri's yesterday. Did 90mins of cardio when i woke up, then lifted and did another 45mins after that.

Chest: Incline DB Press 30x12,32.5x10,35x8

Tri's:Overhead Roap tricep ext. 35x12x3

Diet is going pretty well. I do my a.m cardio on an empty stomach then as follows:
1/3c oats,6 egg whites
3oz chicken w/either 1/2 of greenbeans or a romain lettuce salad
3ozchincken/3oz steak, 1/3c. brown rice, 1/2 greenbeans
20Gm shake w/an apple if i feel i need
5oz white fish w/1c greenbeans or salad
20Gm casein shake before bed

The fish at dinner is really starting to get hard to choke down. Last night I couldn't do it, and it made me very nauseated! I tried getting my trainer to let me do 3 oz of chicken instead, but she said no, that I needed the fish. So, i'm gonna buy some orange roughy and try that. She wants pics again friday, then might adjust my cardio again. The other day when i spoke with her, she said i really didn't need to train bi's anymore, that they would get a good enough workout on my back day. They were getting a little beefy anyway! :) Well i'm gonna take a power nap, go tan, hit the weights then more cardio. Shoulders again...making sure to hit them 2x a week, everything else just once.

I get completely what your saying. Whe your young it isnt your choice. At confirmation your only 12-13 too which is too young in my opinion to make choices as well.
Those are some low carbs your on.
I am a big fan of tilapia, if your looking for some lean white fish to try. Let me know how the orange roughy is though because I hear good things about it as well.

Yeah, I know...super low carbs...all 12 weeks too! i'll be going insane by 2 weeks out! Last prep i don't know how i passed my classes..my brain was so fried lol. but....it works i guess

Work 7a.m-7p.m tom. then gonna do a light leg workout and an hour of cardio. I don't do much for legs, but am wondering if i should start doing something to tighten them up a bit more. Right now I just do a few low weight high reps of extensions and curls. My legs are overpowering to my upper body my tainer said. I'm wondering if i should try and bike for a little while after i do my cardio? I don't want them to get any bigger so i have to be careful to what I do with them. They will come down more in the next few weeks...but I really want them to look good!!! Any suggestions? Well good night rx I can barely keep these blue eye open!! :)

Weight 123 this a.m

I worked 12 hours yesterday and was exhausted when i got off! I just did an hour of cardio and then went home and crashed!

This a.m I did 70 mins of cardio and a lil bit of abs. I've got class until 3 then am heading back to the gym to do back,cardio and some more abs. I feel AMAZING this a.m....prob cuz i just did cardio...i def. didn't feel this way when i woke up at 6:30 a.m:hypno:! 6 Weeks out as of tom.! HALF WAY THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yep: I'll be taking pics tom. morning after i train shoulders again, and maybe do a little bit of a clean up, hit a few other things then of course cardio. Hopefully get some critiques from ya all! Have a blessed day!

lol yeah its pretty intense...i'm not in a nursing program yet because I was part time for two years then had to take a year off for being in the hospital. So i'm making up for lost time. I'm applying in the fall tho. I'll prob get really fat haha! Probably won't compete until i'm done with nursing school once i get in a program.

Thanks...My front pose still needs lots of work. I wish my delts were more round and bigger! They seem to be the only place i'm lacking and unfortunately thats HUGE in figure! Its just gonna take more time...i've only been training since february. Hopefully my legs come in some more in the next 6 weeks and my waist a little thinner.

Got off work early today so I went and did 80 mins of cardio. I feel soooo exhausted today and did last night! I passed out on my couch on and off all night. Seriously was getting up like every hour to pea tho! EF!!! I work tom. and won't train at all. Monday I'll do chest and tri's and 2 or more hours of cardio. Haven't heard back from my trainer about my pics yet. She's gonna look at them tonight. I feel like every time i'm in front of a computer, i'm googling figure competitors....I WISH I HAD THEIR SHOULDERS!!!!!!!!! So frustrating. Well i'm laid out for the night. Gnight :)

Hey! I just read your journal from the beginning. That is cool that Chaundra is your trainer. She just moved back to Colorado.

My shoulders were a weak bodypart for me too (still is some what, but has gotten better). I found heavy presses to work.

Hey! Yeah, I LOVE Chaundra...she's a Godsend! : ) Mine have improved too since i started but still need so much work....i'll just keep hitting em hard! Thanks for the input, I think i do need to start doing more heavy presses, i do alot of raises. At this point i'll do anythign!!!!

Ahhhhhh....just got done with 90mins of cardio and feel AMAZING!! Cardio is like the best possible thing you could start your day off with...i get such a high from it! Especially after a day of rest and 2 stressful 12 hour days at work! I've got a lot to do today, so that should keep my mind off of starving lol. Head back to the gym later today to train again and do some more cardio. Going to get an eye exam today,an oil change,to the library for some homework, clean the pad, and tan. Can't wait to hit the weights tonight....feelin pretty motivated today. I had a talk with my co-workers yesterday...I said for the next 6 weeks please no one offer me anyfood! And if you see me eat anything that doesn't come out of this red lunch box, yell at me and i was dead serious!!!!! They all kind of giggled about it, but all day they were checking on me, asking "You haven't gotten into the nilla wafers have you Robyn?" It was kind of funny, but they are all excited for me, so thank goodness for their support! I'm truly blessed!:yep:

Oh yeah, i hear ya...its funny how you don't even have to say anything and people start talking about THEIR diet and how they eat, or what they USED to look like lol. Nurses seriously are the worst about dieting...thats all you do in the hospital. Patient's family memebers constantly buy us goody baskets, bake for us, drug reps buy us pizza...its like junk everywhere EVERY single day! Thats why i hate going to work during preps! In the breakroom they all just sit there and stair at me like puppies with their tails between their legs because they feel awful sitting there overweight eating their fried food and pastries drinking a diet coke lol (always diet,as if it matters anymore). But we are inspiration actually,even when we don't try! I always get the idiots tho who as "so...how much can you bench?" I just shake my head and have to take a deep breath, then try to explain that I'm a figure competitor for one, 2, i'm a girl and don't want a huge chest lol and 3 its not about how much weight you can put up!

Yeah, it's a lot more difficult to add more weight to raises and laterals. Presses will build more quality muscle. DB presses, military presses, smith presses, machine presses. Try to keep reps between 6-10 reps. Once your form breaks, then I would stop.

Ok...so confession....I had a melt down today and totally fell off the wagon! And i'm FREAKING!!!!!!!!! I'm so stressed with school, work and training ect. I'm like majorly doubting myself right now and not sure I even want to do this! UGH!!! I look so disgusting right now...seiously 5lbs in one day! Why do we do this?! I feel like i'm obssesed with food! : ( Its so hard to come to work and be around all these temptations...its exhausting to constantly be fighting the cravings! Literally on the days i work, i''m miserable! Now i feel like i've ruined all my hardwork! I refuse to get on that stage in 5 weeks if my body is not where it needs to be!

Hey there...yes I got your message, thank you so much! Ugh..i was so stressed. I went right home from work and went to bed at like 8p.m! I woke up feeling alot more relaxed and after my 90 minute morning cardio, i felt MUCH better! I decided to just take a deep breath, forget about this past week and get back to work! I wore like 3 layers of clothes, one because I fetl fat and didn't want anyone to see my body lol and 2 so I could sweat off some of the lbs! And boy did I! But thanks again...and i'm back at it 5 weeks to go...that nothing right!?:yep:

Ok...recovering from my meltdown! I did 2.5 hours of cardio yesterday and only have 2 more lbs of the 5 to lose. I trained back last night. I wore sweats and a sweatshirt to the gym to try and burn some of the weight off. I thought I was gonna have a heat stroke!!! When you sweat through a tshirt and sweat shirt...yeah, you know your working hard. I think my clothes weight ten lbs when i got done! I looked like a hot mess! lol But I've picked myself back up and am back at it. 5 Weeks to go (sigh....)

It happens to many of us! Earlier in the year, I dieted for 17 weeks. Heck, it was tough, but I persevered and you can too. Stay focused on your goal ahead of you. You are IN control!

What are you craving? Sugar? Are you allowed to have sf popscicle or sf jello? That helped with my sugar cravings, but even then, I would only have it if I really needed it, which in the end.....I didn't.

I feel like i've lost my mind lol....i was doing GREAT the first 6 weeks, now all of a sudden i want to eat everything in site! What is going on!? i feel like ive lost all self control!

You just lost your mind the last couple days? Your lucky! Most people lose it before the 5 week out marker. I know I do.:help:lol
My coach usually gives me a cheat meal once a week up until the 4 week out marker though. When was your last one. Besides the slip up.

She didn't give me any cheat meals this time, but I had one at 8weeks out. I do fine all week long, then its so weird when I come to work it's torture. Like yesterday was amazing, I just had class, so I got to go to the gym without a time limit, was in classes back to back for a few hours, then had Bible study later that night. But when I'm at work, there is sweats everywhere, like cookies and stuff, and that is what i'm craving right now. And alot of time I have down time, so i'm just sitting here thinking about how bad I want the food lol and watching everyone else endulge. Its like more exhausting to fight the temptation to not cheat than it is to spend 3 hours in the gym! How is that possible lol?! But cheating is never worth it, because it just makes me depressed, so i don't know why i ever give in! Like the other day I had one thing, and it triggered something, and I like went on an all day binge at work....I was thinking to myself WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!!!!.....as i shoved another brownie in my mouth! ugh...that just seems insane to me...how can food have THIS much control over me? It pisses me off!

I'd be hiring a new coach if i didnt get a cheat meal my whole prep.haha. Its insane how food does this to us, but the end result is ALWAYS worth the suffering.

Ok...so feeling MUCH better today! So glad i don't have to work. Woke up this morning went to the gym for like 2 and a half hours, tanned and did a lil shopping to cheer me up! lol shopping is like therapy i swear! And i usually NEVER buy clothes cuz i would rather spend my money on suppliments or groceries lol but I so enjoyed it today!!! Tonight i have my best friend's bachlorette party, so that will be fun. Minus the fact i'll be the ony sober one there, and sipping on a protein shake while they are all outrageously wasted! I'm not gonna lie tho, i'm a little excited to put some sexy clothes on and go out on the town. I swear, i NEVER get to wear anything other than workout clothes or scrubs...so i'm gonna pull out the heals, put some makeup on , and rock this HOT bod tonight! Garunteed tho by 10 i'll be wishing i was sitting on my couch in sweats relaxing because i did 110 mins of cardio this a.m and BLASTED my shoulders!

Shoulders:
DB Shoulder Press 25x10,27.5x8x2,30x6 (should've gone heavier)
Seated Machine Shoulder Press 70x10,80x8x2,90x6
Giant Setx3:25lbsx10 DB Front raise,10lbx10 DB's lateral raise, upright row, Shoulder press, and bentover rear delt fly's (delts were literally on fire by the end of this)
10kg Bumperplate Around the worlds 15 in each direction
Abs
20mins on stairmaster,60mins walking on incline,30mins archtrainer

Starting this week, cardio will be done 7 days a week. I'll be getting up for one session at 5a.m on the days i work, then doing another session when i get off work at 7 after I lift. Then on the days I have class i'll be doing what I have been. 7a.m cardio, class, then back to the gym to lift and do more cardio. I'll lift 6 days. Shoulders twice a week, Back/bi's once,Chest/tri's once,light light legs once, and then a clean up day where I hit a little bit of everything. I usually do abs every day sometimes every other. Gotta have that tight core! 5 Weeks left...no looking back..just straight forward. Making sure I bring everything I got to that stage and not having any regrets! Forgetting about my cheating and just using it to work EXTRA hard the next 5 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
