Went up to york barbell friday morning. Checked my weight at 245, then proceeded to take a huge shit, while shuving my finger down my throat to make myself puke. Worked very well weighed in at 241. Got back home ate, drank, took nap.

Day of the meet I wasnt nervous at all, just burnt out alittle mentally. I started training for a meet in may, never did it and just continued my prep all the way till now, so I just wanted this shit to be over. Anyway, woke up got some good breakfast in did my "premeet ritual" and was off. This IPA meet was one of the most professional run meets I've ever been too. Judging was spot on and consistant the whole day. When I weighed myself before squat warmup I was 258, so everything was fitting tight. Just wanted to get on the board with squat since Im scared shitless about bombing.

1960 for the day. Ive learned you get out what you put in, I worked the hardest on the bench and was able to put 100lbs on it since my last meet. No amount of gear or supplaments will be able to up your total. Im thinking 2-3 weeks off then beginning the search for a place to squat consistantly that isnt 2hrs away, or I could just possible buy my own monolift and start my own crew we will see. Thanks to everyone on here who has supported me.

Im in inzer predator briefs but a ginny canvas suit. (www.ginnypowersystems.com (http://www.ginnypowersystems.com)) Suit is great but the straps fucking suck. Its almost like a loop strap and I can never get them tight enough. With that being said it was $75 cheaper then inzer, custom made, and ginny got it to me in 10days times. Inzer normally takes 6-8 weeks for a canvas.

Thanks guys for all the support I worked so fucking hard to make it to this meet. Now, Im looking for some training partners, anyone in the delaware/pa area?

Very nice job bro! Congrats!

About "getting out what you put in" and gaining 100 on your bench since your last meet... how did you do it? what worked for you? what was your weakness?
Perhaps it will relate to someone here as well.

How do you like wearing a canvas suit compared to the other suits you have used in the past?

technique, technique, technique. I spent countless hours and weeks perfecting my bench set up and form thoughout the entire lift. I had my training partners videotape me so I can see what I look like and where I can improve on. Once I got set up in the right technique it was just putting in the work. I run a westside barbell style program for bench where monday is my shirt day and thursday is my speed day with plenty of volume and accessories.

When I was 18 I squatted 650 in 2ply briefs and 2ply inzer trex. Poly suits have alot more pop out of the bottom but to me feel flimsy. When Im in a canvas I feel indestructible. I recommend going with loose fitting canvas at first as hitting depth will be the main problem you run into.

I don't think I'll go straight canvas, if I'm going ot get a suit along those lines, then I'll go with an Overkill Poly/Canvas mix. All the Overkill gear is custom and the guy trains at my gym, and I would probably be able to get a really good price on it

Yea didnt know you had access to Overkill gear. The guy who makes its name is rudy, right? Anyway, Ive seen great success with guys using his bench shirt and a canvas/poly squat suit mix sounds like it would be fucking insane.

Yeah, Rudy is his name, he's also the same guy that makes the TP-5000 knee wraps, and it's not Ernie Frantz, he just sells them. Rudy is supposed to have some new TP-5000 knee wraps coming out that won't wear out so easily. A lot of guys on my team are using the overkill gear and they all love it
