I got a dexascan yesterday. I will put up latest first, then the results from April 2008, next to them:

Body mass: 215 vs 208
BF%: 20.1 vs 19.4
Fat: 43 lbs vs 40 lbs
Lean: 172 lbs vs 168 lbs
Bone: 8.4 lbs vs 7.7 lbs
bone density: 1.436 vs 1.401

so I have put on 4 lbs of muscle and 3 lbs of fat in 18 months or so. Also wanted to reiterate, I think 4 lbs is a lot of lbm to add, it is pretty obvious, especially in my arms and shoulders.

been on TRT the whole time...telling you guys, putting on LBM isn't that quick or easy. 4 to 3 ratio of lbm to fat is probably typical isn't it?

(bone is included in lbm for all of you math nerds who will say things don;t add up! lol)

Cool - so your going in the right direction.
I think the added muscle definitely shows in your arms and shoulders - have you also taken measurements?
It seems as if your over all shape has changed a lot.
Hope your fitting some fun into your trip:)

Well. 4 to 3 isn't great, but not horrible either. 4 to 2 is actually good and 4 to 1 outstanding. I honestly think that for you, check out Clarence Bass's approach. I think it might turn you into a fomidable bbr. For 250 lb super like me or Esplendido, maybe not. Get shredded his way, long, but fairly painless (unless you love meat or junk food) for Masters middles and under I think its the ticket, esp for naturals or HRt guys like us.

HDG, I will check his stuff out.

My doc put me back on keto since my bloodwork was so good when I was on it.

I wonder how much muscle loss to expect when I diet down...I know you can't lose all fat. But if I could, I would be 10% at 190, 5% at 181.

Depends on the level of your HRT, Mike. With enough AAS, you should keep most of your muscle.

that's good news! I might not need to get to 165 after all, 175-180 instead!

gman - my husband just went on TRT a couple of months ago so I'm interested in this. Were you trying to gain, or did you just eat as usual - and what dose are you on? Hubby's on Test Cyp 150mg per week, pinned at 75mg twice a week.

Bass actually gained muscle- on like 2 Anavar daily. That's why Im thinking its ideal for middles or lower on HRT or very light AAS. For 220 plus guys I think they need a different approach.

no, actually was trying to lose weight...lol

I definitely wasn't eating way above maintenance except of occasion, like 2x a week.

Actually was doing 200 a week cyp, now have switched back to compounded gel for a while...some of my test results were funky, and my doc wants me back in the high normal range instead of over it.

Some Docs look at HRBC as the determining factor re: test supplimentation. Is that your case? My red blood cells are naturaly high. Say James, I thought I was one of the very few who knew Bass was an Anavar advocate. When I stopped all ASS in 1990 I must have had a shoe box full of Anavar pop out sheets.

my RBC, hemoglobin, and hematocrit were all at the top of normal even before TRT. TRT has shot them way up.

Doc S says with my family history, I don't need my blood to be thick.

I have outlived my dad by 4 years now...
