Whatever flaws the book had, it captured the spirit of this section IMO. And I nominate that quote for its byline. I think he (Lamar) was dead right on that one.

Wow. Guys I thought that was required reading.. . It IS A good read, he can write almost as well as Baldie.

Confession...I trained with Sam at Brignoli's Pasadena. The book is 60% true and 40% poetic liscense. The characters are 90% real.

ABP....I dodged a bullet and fortunatly was not one of Sams characters. I saw him on some remote TV station a few years ago pitching the book for a movie version. Sam hated Bodybuilders so much he did the ultimate mock. I watched him go from geek to F'en huge and back to geek only to write about it, intrude on others inner thoughts, insert himself as a 'friend' into their world then laugh at them.
