im so depleted, had carbs once in the past month(the whole day ate carbs, which was about a week ago)..when i finish my morning cardio daily tasks become close to impossible due to me having NO energy, NONE WHATSOEVER..it doesnt matter what type of cardio i do its always the same feeling and im guessing its from low blood sugar, if takin in carbs and not wanting to OD on caffine all day arent options what do you do for energy?

I am on Dave's diet, from the king himself, and I am eating 150g of fat a day.

If you aren't eating carbs, you have to eat more fat, so your body has something to use for energy.

Its one thing to start a diet w/ some guidelines worked out on paper, but then you have to use your own body's response to tweak it. Basically if you're starving, there's definitely something not quite tweaked. Diets aren't supposed to be DIE w/ a T... its about finding an efficient balance of nutrients & energy demands to get your body humming efficiently.

if your fat intake is adequate, you will only need a weekly refeed/cheat meal, not "day".

he is severely depleting glycogen and in a caloric deficit, regardless of fat intake.

Sometimes if I don't get enough salt I get weak. Not saying that's def what it is because there seem to be other issues. but this is something that I've noticed.

Tribal, instead of worrying about calories, you need to be concerned with nutrient partitioning, how the body utilizes macronutrients and what function they serve in the body.

If the caloric philosophy held, I could theoretically eat 1200 kcal of chocolate cake and I would do great on a diet, with weight loss, good energy, etc. It simply isn't true. That's why Weight Watchers and all those other generic programs are kind of bogus in my book.

I believe Dave recommends 0.5g/lb of bodyweight of healthy fats (essential fatty acids, monounsaturated fats, etc.) and just gauge it from there.
