Okay, here are the events. Please keep in mind the weights/distances/time limits might change slightly as we better test them. Any questions please ask.

1) Log Clean and Press
a. LW/MA=215; HW=255
b. 12" log will be used
c. 75 second time limit
d. Must clean and press each rep
e. Athlete must wait on down command on each rep
f. No build up of belt/buckle belts turned backwards
g. Log may be pressed, push pressed, jerked, power jerked, split jerked, etc.
h. Log may not be dropped, the athletes hands must stay in contact with log

2) Conan's Wheel
a. 500 for LW/MA; 700 for HW
b. 15 seconds to pick up from whistle
c. Distance measured on first drop
d. Farthest distance wins
e. Wheel must turn clockwise

3) Farmers, Frame, Sled Drag Medley
a. LW/MA-270 farmers x 50'; 550 frame x 50'; sled drag x 50'
b. HW-290 farmers x 50'; 650 frame x 50'; sled drag x 50'
c. 75 second time limit
d. Chalk only
e. Unlimited drops allowed

4) Tire Flip
a. 10 flips for LW/MA;10 flips for HW
b. 700 Tire for LW/MA; 800?? for HW
c. 60 second time limit
d. Tacky towel allowed; no stone tacky
e. Tire will begin laying down

5) Atlas Stones
a. 60 second time limit
b. Stones must be loaded from lightest to heaviest
c. Athlete will begin off of mat
d. 48" platform
e. LW/MA=240,275,290,310,335; HW=275,290,310,335,390
f. Eligible for Georgia State Stone Record

“The third edition of the FIBO Strongman Classics will take place at the 25th of April, 2009 at the biggest expo from Europe , the FIBO in Essen (Germany),” Marcel Mostert reported in a statement released to IronMind.

“For the first time this contest will be a qualifyier for the Strongman Champions League. This shows the significance of the FIBO Strongman Classics 2009. The prize money for this contest will be over EUR 5.000,00 and the best competitor from this competition will have a secured place in the SCL SERBIA at 9 May.” Marcel Mostert and Heinz Ollesch will be the referees.

Jimmy Laureys (BEL) – Strongest Man of Belgium

plenty of pro comps in the states this year...hell ams a better to watch and often free.
