did my hour of cardio and we went to my daughter's swim meet, she won all 5 events she was in.

So far today

3 eggs, 1 cup of egg whites, 3 tbsp of parmesan

2 scoops of whey, 1.5 tbsp of peanut butter

2 scoops of whey, 1.5 tbsp of peanut butter

It's 5 o'clock and I have no desire to eat any more today...will eat another big egg meal...might or might not eat after that, depends on how I feel

I just hope it's not a bad sign that I am not hungry, it is a rare condition.

My daughter is one of the oldest in her age group of 9-10
when she ages up in November, she will become one of the youngest in the 11-12 age group, and will go back to the middle of the pack for a time.

I am happy she is enjoying being the queen bee for now!

thanks, D...went and lay down for an hour, never quite fell asleep, but I feel a little better now...eating my 3 eggs, and 1 1/2 cups of egg whites with parmesan and Franks Hot sauce right now.

Not sure if my lack of hunger and tired feeling earlier was blood sugar or just tiredeness, but I feel a little better now.

need the keto experts' opinion...my friend tried the recipe in the latest rxmuscle newsletter for tuna burgers and said it was really good...here is the recipe:

1 can drained tuna
3 tbsp of uncooked oatmeal
1 whole egg
few dashes of hot sauce
salt and pepper

mix in bowl and form two patties, fry up in pan for 2 minutes each side....and gobble

Is 3 tbps of dry oatmeal going to blow my keto...this sounds so yummy.

I grew up on salmon patties. Very good stuff. We made them with canned salmon, an egg, a bit of chopped onion, and a bit of cooked, small cubes of potato. You just need enough egg to hold it all together. Same with the potato. You could use some bread pieces instead.

I tried making salmon patties with oatmeal. And while ok, bread or potato tastes better.

Not sure about the carb content of potato and what's out there for low-carb breads.

Very nice. Very nice.

May calories look good to low but ratios are out of line today. This is what happens when you go shopping with all females and do not go PREPARED. A quick 30 minutes trip took almost 5 hours.

I ate totally healthy but was so afraid to actually eat, that I barely ate anything. We ate at Panda express and I ate basically just mandarin chicken. But jacked up my macros

My doc said it's more about my heart than about bodybuilding.

Wants me to work it pretty hard for the heart benefits. Hence I am doing it at higher heart rate.

I am pretty obsessed because my dad died so young (44) from heart problems. I am 48 and feel like I am borrowed time.

Now that is a waste of a good snickers bar! Much better chilled in the wrapper!

You'll look flat until you get close to the muscle. There's a period of time where you'll look small and smooth until one day you wake up and say, "Damn, I'm big and hard" (don't go there...LOL!).

So that's why I need carbs, not enough muscle to look anywhere near muscular! Lol!

cut the london broil into strips while still frozen, it is a lot easier.

I did the marinade by feel, no recipe really....got a big bowl, dumped a bunch of soy sauce in, a fair amount of worcestershire sauce, a bunch of texas pete/Franks, garlic powder, pepper, dehydrated onion flakes, etc...

put meat in a gallon bag, pour in the marinade, shake and set in fridge overnight.

I bought a rack called a Baker Jerky Maker a few years ago...it works really good...you gotta google it to see if it still is being sold.

Yeah, one of the things you can't control is where the fat comes off first. My face looks way skeletal before my abs are anywhere near coming in. I always wish I could move the fat from where I don't want it to where it would do no aesthetic harm!

Alton Brown's Beef Jerky

Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 pounds flank steak
2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
2/3 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Specialhttp://a19.g.akamai.net/7/19/7125/1450/Ocellus.coupons.com/_images/showlist_icon.gif Equipment: 1 box fan, 4 paper air-conditioning filters, and 2 bungee cords

Directions

Trim the flank steak of any excess fat, place in a zip-top bag, and place it in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours in order to firm up.

Remove the steak from the freezer and thinly slice the meat with the grain, into long strips.

Place the strips of meat along with all of the remaining ingredients into a large, 1-gallon plastic zip-top bag and move around to evenly distribute all of the ingredients. Place the bag into the refrigerator for 3 to 6 hours.

Remove the meat from the brine and pat dry. Evenly distribute the strips of meat onto 3 of the air filters, laying them in the grooves and then stacking the filters on top of one another. Top these with 1 empty filter. Next, lay the box fan on its side and lay the filters on top of it. Strap the filters to the fan with 2 bungee cords. Stand the fan upright, plug in and set to medium. Allow the meat dry for 8 to 12 hours. If using a commercial dehydrator, follow the manufacturer's directions.

Once dry, store in a cool dry place, in an airtight container for 2 to 3 months.

I'm thinking about trying those tuna pouches. They look easy to make and tasty. What brand/flavor do you usually get?

hickory smoked is the best, lemon pepper is next. Nothing to make, they already are flavored...just tear open and chow down

when I first lost weight (215 to 135) I got freaked out at first when my stalls or stay the sames would happen... get some graph paper and graph your weight - and you may start to see patterns... you won't see these patterns over night but over time you will..

now for us girls of course when your period is in town you see a huge 3-5 lb spike sometimes, again at first it would freak me out (when I knew nothing about weightloss)... 5-7 days before my period I'd gain 3ish pounds overnight... it was like a WTF experience... but when I'd graph my weight I'd see patterns... it helped... but I'm a numbers and a visual person too...

G another thing I noticed... during the week when I was up at 330 or 4am and hitting the gym that early too.. my weight was always up or stayed the same... but on saturday and sunday when I could sleep till 6 or 7 (if my body let me) I could weigh 2 or 3 lbs less..
meaning.. I'd wake up at 330, pee, hit the scale... it would say 152 or something... when I could go back to bed and wake up a couple to a few hours later (on a weekend or day of hooky from work) I'd get back up at 6am, pee (again) get on teh scale again and see 150..

now I know I did not just pee out 2lbs of fluids... so what the hell happens to that in those few hours I have no idea but its almost like my body was not liking being weighed at 330am.... so maybe base your true weight for the week on a weekend when you don't necessarily have to be up so early...

thanks, MG...it's just weird...I finally got a digital scale, and never thought in a million years my weight would be EXACTLY the same 4 out of 5 days!

I will give it a few more days to go down a tenth or two before I up my cardio....lol

I have it graphed on bbing.com, but not by the day...so I can see trends.

I am down quite a bit since August (15), so not too unhappy.

good idea...you are not the only one that weird stuff happens to. I don;'t know how, but our bodies somehow aspirate water or something while we sleep...Hey great idea...sleep til noon and be down another 4?

U agree totally weird but I know for me that weighing at an ungodly hour of the dawn, before the damn chicken is crowing, always threw my numbers off... so I got to the point I didn't fret over M-F numbers and would base my week on the weekend numbers..before a cheat meal of course..

but I read back that you have not had a cheat meal either in 17ish days...I am not saying HAVE A CHEAT MEAL but perhaps your body needs a small 'refeed' - maybe a day of some oatmeal for breakfast and/or a piece of fruit...?? just a thought... when we get to strict to soon our bodies, specially as we get older, can rebel...

Those are good except for the double bicep shot leave those alone until you start "posing/flexing" pics. Add a relax side shot, not pulling in your stomach, all shots should be relaxed so you can truly see your progress.

You can take some posing shots in between here and there, but to truly see your progress take the relax front, side and back shots.

Thank God for small victories.

I love this pressure, no theory shit, if you don't lose 1.75 one week, then you adjust the next to catch up...

friggin accountants!

I am making a drastic reduction in my fat intake...I have no choice really. 34 lbs in 19 weeks, need to average a deficit of about 6000 calories a week, or 875 a day. My maintenance is 2600 if I do an hour of cardio a day, so 1800 or so is my daily calories target

here is my new diet:

meal 1: 3 eggs, 1 cup of egg whites
meal 2: 2 scoops of whey
meal 3: tuna and broccoli or green beans
meal 4: 2 scoops of whey, 1tbsp of pb
meal 5: chicken breast and broccoli or green beans
meal 6: 2 scoops of whey and 1 tbsp of pb
plus 6 g of fish oil

1,768 cal
54.0 g fat
49.4 g carb
285.6 g pro

will continue with 60 minutes of cardio, and adjust up as needed.
