Well here was leg day:
Leg ext: 100x10, 140x10, 170x10, 250x10
Front squats: 135x10, 225x10, 245x8, 245x8
Hacks: 180x10, 270x10, 360x8, 410x8
Walking bb lunges: 90xlength of the gym???, 100
no sissy squats today quads were screaming after the fronts&hacks
Leg curls: 100x10, 120x10, 140x10, 160x10
SLDL: 135x10, 185x10, 185x10
Cardio and then tanning and then home. All in all it was a good workout.

Seriously, I know how hard it is to post up picts. Much less picts in something very skimpy! I would never, and I mean never, let people outside of the bodybuilding group see mine. But here it's different. Everyone understands. And you can get the kind of feedback you're looking for. Good, bad, and ugly. From your other shots it looks like you're doing great! I have to keep reminding myself that I don't have to look perfect before I take picts. Not that that will ever happen. There will always be something :)

I haven't been to Dayton in many years. As you may know, it's where the Hams [ amateur radio ] have their big Hamfest. I remember going on NeedMore Road to get there, always thought that was funny.

Okay so I am trying to train around my shoulder pain so I can't do any heavy pressing which pisses me off. So here we go:
Seated DB press:50x10, 60x10, 70x8, 80x8 Not much pain but prior to the injury was doing 105's
Seated db laterals: 25x10, 30x10, 35x10 These were super strict with my back supported and no body english at all.
cable side laterals:20x10, 30x10, 35x10 These were slow and controlled. The burn was great!
High Pulls:80x10, 110x10, 140x10
Front plate raises:45x8x3
Rear db laterals: 35x10, 40x10, 45x8
Db shrugs:85x10, 100x10, 115x10, 135x8
got my cardio in and also weighed in. I am 238 and on my way to leaning out. Have a great day

Had one this AM Baldie. :) Not sure about the weight. Dawn keeps telling me to listen to her and do what I'm told and I will be lean enough. If i drop 1-2 lbs a week between now and then I am looking at the high 220's. Started out at 262.

2 scoops protein, handful of almonds, tbsp of pb in blender with ice and water at 830
between 9 and 10 i had: a handful of almonds, Dibbs chocolate covered granola bar, 1 cup of life cereal with a half cup of milk, and a big spoon of pb

OK, I fessed up, why don't I feel better.

I do have to say, my waist is almost a half inch smaller this morning than on Tuesday morning

Ok, first, eating more periodically, getting that leptin load, can easily help you lose fat. We've been trying to tell you that. I'm not sure that Dibbs chocolate covered protein bars and life cereal are recommended foods though :) Second I'm proud of you! You didn't get terribly dirty! No fast food junkets, bags of candy, gallons of ice cream, etc.

Your body was trying to tell you something. And not just that it was hungry from dieting.

I am 2 lbs heavier yet from it, but it's all water I am sure.

I am not supposed to cheat again, but I was just so damn hungry.

No doubt you were still hungry. The granola bar and cereal would have done nothing to fill you up. Only stimulate more hunger. Empty carbs. Plus when your body is carb hungry it takes time for the carbs you eat to process through and accomplish their job.

I am glad I only have 6 weeks left, need to eat some normal food (ie oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatos) again on a regular basis soon!

I think protein and fats didn't satisfy your hunger because it's not what your body wanted/needed. Under any other circumstances yes, you would have exploded.

I ate that everyday and got to 5% body fat. However, the amounts were very small and frequent.

Well I weighed this a.m. and the tally is 235.75 lbs. That's down 3 lbs from last week. The pics will be done tomorrow. My photog is busy today but will be there tomorrow so new pics tomorrow. Today was back day:
wg chins to warm up 4 sets
BO Bb rows: 135x10, 185x10, 235x8, 285x6
Lat pulldowns: 120x10, 150x10, 210x8, 250x8
Cybex row: 120x10, 160x10, 190x10, 230x8
db rows: 70x10, 95x10, 125x8

Seated db press: 35x10, 45x10, 55x10, 70x10.....damn sad. I used to warm up with 70's :(

I had the best chest workout today that I have had in a long time!!! I slept 6 hours after working all night and got up drank a shake and went to the gym. So here we go:
Seated Chest Press:2 warm up sets, 270x10, 360x10, 450x8, 500x6 Hello!!!!
Hammer chest: 180x10, 270x8, 360x8
Inc flyes: 35x10, 40x10, 45x8 These were deep and slow

Good evening all. Well the last day or so has been messed up. My gym closed without notice. I had to go and find a gym so haven't been around plus I had meetings today. I did something today I never do and that is train two major body parts in the same day but since I will not be able to workout tomorrow due to work and other commitments I drilled legs and chest today but about 16 hours apart. This evening I hit chest and tris.
12 sets for chest and 12 sets for tri's. I only got in 1:35 minutes of cardio today but will get everything squared away the rest of the week. Progress pix on Thursday. Don't know how much I'll be around tonight because I will be sort of busy so talk to you all later.

What up everyone. Today was back day. So here is how today went: Worked till 1030 this am finished a 12 hour shift. Went home and went to bed by 11:30 and woke at 330. Had to go bowling and shot a 685. Finished by 8:45 and went to the gym for a back/bi workout. Done by 9:45 and had to go to work for another 12 hour shift......why am I telling all of this? I have no idea. Just a typical day in the life of me. It only gets crazy once a day....starts when I get up and usually ends when I go to bed.
Back 12 sets
Bi's 9 sets
Cardio and tanning tomorrow. I needed about 28 hours in this day to get all the shit I needed to get done. Have a good one.
Oh and by the way if anyone feels like critiquing any part of my day........like the little man in the avi says....!

I know this is of little consequence, however you are among a "been there, done that" crowd. Hang tough. The one thing I has when my routine resembled yours was the gym time. It became so sacred that I would sometimes feel a huge burden lifted at the end of the workout, like I can handle another day. Or was that the spotter:dunno:

I am withdrawing from the Masters Challenge due to my shoulder injury which has made my training virtually impossible. It has affected my sleep and I can't do properly prepare for it if my training and rest are being compromised.Good luck to all involved and I will probably see you there.

Thanks Baldie. Probably not. It is affecting all pressing motions. Chest/Delts primarily not so much on Tri's but I can't sleep with my arm above my head and every time I place my arm above my head the pain wakes me up. Not sure if it's rotator cuff but I'm pretty sure it's not that. Maybe some sort of imflammation that rest and anti-inflammatory will take care of it. Thanks

OK so fuck you too. :fingers: Here is Doctor Mortimer's little test. I wrote a lengthy article on this for Muscle Mag years ago. Take a towel and just like you are gonna dry your back use one hand grabbing the towel behind your head, drop towel towards butt, grab with other hand and now in a slow drying up/down movement begin. OK so fuck you too. :fingers: Here is Doctor Mortimer's little test. I wrote a lengthy article on this for Muscle Mag years ago. Take a towel and just like you are gonna dry your back use one hand grabbing the towel behind your head, drop towel towards butt, grab with other hand and now in a slow drying up/down movement begin. Have someone search around the scapula (blade) with a strong knuckle looking for the trigger spot. You will know it when they hit it if they really push HARD. When its found, say a prayer, grit your teeth and have them do a tight circular motion really firing up that trigger. Come on HARDER. The Supraspanadis and Infraspanadis are tiny pencil sized muscle that cross the scalula and send pain messages to the shoulder. After a healthy painfull massage of the trigger point move that shoulder around and report back....

The X in the pict is exactly where I have near constant soreness. Years ago, pre lifting days, doc said it was tendonitis. No one has to dig for it. I can put a finger on it myself and feel the soreness. Makes it hard to cross my arms, grab the bottom of a shirt, and pull it off. Pain gets referred to the shoulder. Sometimes, reverse flyes actually help it.

Birdie...One arm dumbell presses on a flat bench help. You must hold your body in a TIGHT flat plain as if you had two matching dumbells of equal weight.

Bucki tomorrow you grab an empty Olympic bar in the middle on the bench press bench and do STRICT one arm presses with it. KEEP BODY FLAT. Both sides.

Continue towel pulls and trigger massage.

Bucki, sorry to hear of your shoulder injury. That fucking got to suck. I know, as I have my bouts with them too.

Baldie's cure is similar to what I do, except I do mine with a stick, long enough for keeping arms straight, rotate from front of body, extend overhead, bring around back as far as you can go. Do as many as you can.

I forget to do these and my shoulder problems come back. Reaching in the back seat of my car to get my gym bag was the worst pain for me.

I work on guys your size and it is a bitch to work on subscap and deep enough to get the inner layers of fascia. A PT is great for showing you some exercises, however a LMT will really get the healing going if you are out of the acute phase of injury.

Baldie, just wanted to give you a short status update. The shoulder feels better. I am not training heavy but I am feeling improvement. Baldie, what are your thoughts on Vit. D3??m I have been taking 5000iu a day in liquid form right on my tongue.

Research shows that only 11% of men have enough Vitamin D and there is a close relationship to testosterone and other hormone levels being adversely affected when there is not a sufficient amount of it.

I think 5000iu is a high amount, especially in sublingual.

5000 IU a day is a lot untested. I did have to take 50,000 IU once a week for over a year to bring mine up, but I had blood work to show where I stood. Now it's supposed to be 1000 IU a day and 50,000 IU once a month. Get tested!

I'm big on D3 as I can not go in the sun. I take 1500iu daily. 5,000 should be more than enough.
