I figured that's what it was.

I did some "test judging" toward becoming an NPC judge, but I don't think it is for me, either. I was totally unable to enjoy the contest, because it felt like I was working. I'm glad I did it once, though, because it gives me more of an appreciation of what the judges go through.

I think I asked you yesterday in my thread exactly what type of pain it is and which way it hurts in your shoulder, whether it's more localized or if it runs front to back or horizontally.

It's a pain that only hurts when I am pressing. The pains runs across the top of my shoulder from my neck out to the shoulder cap. Doesnt' bother on tri exercises just chest and delts.

Hmmm...maybe you strained something? Doesn't sound like mine. Mine is very localized and it's the worst when pressing.

I am going to see a ortho after first of the year. No surgery or anything else till after the AC though.

Understandable. Gotta focus on the show. As long as you can train around it, keep going. Definitely stick w/ your plan of seeing an ortho afterwards though. Mine is still hurting just as bad as it was before PT started. My therapist is not happy because she can't figure out anything that will make it go away. I still have 4 weeks left though.

I had a bicep tendon thing a few years back and rest took care of that so we will see. Hey which hotel are we at in C-bus?

Good morning all. Had a really good workout yesterday. Took my daughter out for dinner last night because she was inducted into National Honor Society this week. Also took care of some shopping. Today was bi's/forearms/abs. Kind of a catch up day for the week.
Cable Preacher: 2 warm up sets, 90x10, 110x10, 130x8
Did these instead of pad in the pits with my elbows on the pad to keep the bi under constant tension. Got this from John Hansen. Bi's are sore today, first time in a long time.
Seated Dual curls: 30x10, 40x10, 45x8
CG Ez bar curls: 75x10, 75x10, 80x8
High cable curls: 30x10, 40x8
Hammers:40x10, 50x10, 60x8
BTB bb wrist curls: 135x10, 135,10, 135x8
Rope hammers: 2 sets don't remember the weight
Hammer abs 3 sets
Inc sit ups 3 sets

30 min cardio and had to go because the kids were waiting on me.

Good arm work, it would be fun to train with you some time. won't have time in Columbus this year, but maybe next year.

This fucking sucks how our weather is. My son is stuck at UVA, 3 hours away, with 23" of snow on the ground, and temps in the upper 20's. We have had 2" of rain, and it is in the mid 40's her. I hate this bullshit. Give me snow!

Hey babe, thanks for minding the house while I was out. So I went to the University of Dayton basketball game with my son last night for kind of a boy's night out. We had a good time. UD won by 19. Looking like today will be the first day of the training week so it's leg day today!!! Here is the schedule for the today's quad blitzing session:
warm up on bike
Leg Press: 3 sets
Front Squats: 3 sets
Lunges: 3 sets
SLDL: 3 sets
LLC: 3 sets
Stand calves: 3 sets
Hack calves: 3 sets
60 minutes cardio and Christmas shopping.......

Dayton plays in the Atlantic 10 Conference, they are usually a pretty decent team. I have good calves but still do them. I guess it's just part of leg day! YOu could have Matarazzo type calves if you trained them LOL

My chiro told me to stop doing calf raises about 2 years ago, he said they were pro quality genetically, and to concentrate on my weak areas. I feel like my quads suck pretty bad so I do more upper leg stuff. Shit, my thighs are almost down to 24" now.

it is an ego buster to realize how you think you are pretty big, but it's mostly fat.

I am trying to reconcile the fact that I will have 15" arms, 22 1/2" thighs, and a 40" chest when I am at 175.

It is hard to get your mind around how much fat you really have on your body.

LOL, funny! I like Paul's (ABP) philosophy on the deal; I'm gonna cardio my ass off and keep diet 80-90% over the holidays so as to minimize damage, then January 4th, it's balls out!

I can get the 8 wheels ea. side for 14 on the press if I really push it. 2 x 185 on the front squats. Thats max for now, but improving weekly. Your post was a reality check.....thanks. Been doin the fronts first then the presses. Next week i'll reverse the order.

Checkin your front squats and presses out here Mr. Bucki. :hypno: Ouch!!

I can get the 8 wheels ea. side for 14 on the press if I really push it. 2 x 185 on the front squats. Thats max for now, but improving weekly. Your post was a reality check.....thanks. Been doin the fronts first then the presses. Next week i'll reverse the order.

I just step up under the bar and rest it on my delts. You have to stay upright which "they" (whoever they are) that it minimizes glute activity and stresses the quads to a greater degree. We shall see.....I got squatters butt already haha

Split my cardio up into two sessions to make sure I got it all in. Good workout!!

It's going pretty good. Hit chest today and the diet has pretty much been spot on. I weighed 239 7/8 this a.m. That's down 22lbs roughly. I need to make sure I am getting enough protein though. I need to start slamming shakes if I am not getting there.

I have been on it 7 weeks. Energy levels are good. The first few days were kinda funky but now my weight is coming down with my bodyfat as well and I am very happy!

I am lucky now to even bench press 185. Not a big deal. Looking strong is more important than being strong right now!

Busted out a leg workout today!!! The holidays have got my schedule messed up so I am starting the week out early!
Leg Ext: 80x10, 130x10, 170x10, 250x8

Bucki has returned!!!! Glad to see DA kept the home fires burning and Blu, Free, Baldie, Mike and everyone else has kept checking in on me. Well the training week is over since I started last Saturday. I weighed this morning at the gym and almost no damage from the Holidays. I weighed 240 on the nose which is +1/8 lb from last week. Training has been great and diet good. It's buckle down time and full speed ahead!!! March 5th here I come!
