View Full Version : Here I go!

10-26-2009, 04:35 AM
Well, guys and gals, I have stepped down as Forum Leader here at Rx. I disagree with some policies, and we'll leave it at that. I'm not only stepping down, I'm leaving this site. Please continue to train for the Rx challenge. I'm sure Dave will still follow thru with it.

It's been a fun ride. I've really enjoyed you all immensely.

Sorry to see you go Esp.

10-26-2009, 07:58 AM
Damn. And I just got here. Where are you headed?

10-26-2009, 08:10 AM
Rick, I sure hope to see you in Pittsburg.

I understand the Forum 'thing'. I have been in and out of them several times. I would never ever do the 'moderator' or 'leader' job however......

Damn. And I just got here. Where are you headed?

Same here
loved his real take on stuff - need people like that around

10-26-2009, 12:20 PM
WTF happen man? We just got here and you are breaking out?

10-26-2009, 01:32 PM
I have reached an impass with admin here and cannot in good conscience continue as an FL. I cannot continue contributing as a member either because it would mean closing my eyes to the issue causing my retirement. No hard feelings towards Dave. And I'm sure they'll find a good replacement. You all are good people and the masters forum is the nest here. I will miss you all. And I will see you at the Arnold!

10-26-2009, 01:37 PM
Gonna miss you Rick...you won't recognize me at the Arnold.

I am gonna sneak up and give you a big hug.

10-26-2009, 01:45 PM
i hope its not because i called you the default FL for masters... peace out old man river.

10-26-2009, 02:58 PM
Rick did a great job in this forum and is a genuinely funny guy.

10-26-2009, 03:31 PM
I met Rick through this forum and had the pleasure of spending time with him and his wife in KS. He has always been straight up with me and eager to help in any way and I'm sure with everyone else as well. I certainly will miss his imput and quick wit. This has gotten to be a really good forum and as with Rick, feel another good FL will be set up.

10-26-2009, 05:13 PM
I am l fairly new here, still trying to figure out the do's and don'ts of this place, it seems like one of, if the not the best hardcore site on the net, which is why I am staying here.

Not sure what the FL are suppose to do nor what their responsibilities are, but Ric was and is a great person to learn from and seems very educated in a sport where most seem to pussy foot around it.

With that said Ric, I hope you can come to a resolution with whatever made you want to leave in the first place and that you consider sticking around.

10-26-2009, 05:26 PM
WTF....sorry to see big man go!

10-26-2009, 11:35 PM
HOLY CRAP? :dunno:

10-26-2009, 11:47 PM
Best of luck Rick.
You did a great job developing the RX Masters forum.

10-26-2009, 11:52 PM
Well, dang.

That's a hard one to swallow!

You will be missed!

10-27-2009, 03:02 PM
I read all the crap in the open Forum directed towards Eric by the younger air heads who simply HATE us old timers. Perhaps that was contributing??

10-27-2009, 06:18 PM
Well when you do find a new forum to call home please make sure you get the word to us so we can continue to talk. I liked your honesty and drive which showed that at any age it is never to late to get in shape to kick some A@@!!!

10-28-2009, 02:57 AM
Gonna miss you Rick...you won't recognize me at the Arnold.

I am gonna sneak up and give you a big hug.

I'll be sure to be there to snap the bromance moment for posterity! :yep:

Just a quick note, Rick is posting at XTRAXXL.COM under the name: Ironworker.

10-28-2009, 05:25 PM
I can't go there, I am trying to get XTRASML...

seriously, thanks for the heads up

10-28-2009, 09:01 PM
go under an assumed name and wear dark glasses and the xxl will double up on the next person lol

10-28-2009, 11:51 PM
ahhhh that fine man is gone...thats sad!

10-29-2009, 03:36 AM
Now that's a surprise, and not a good one!

Esplendido and I have very little in common except that we're of a 'certain age' and lift weights.

For one thing, he's an 'old hand' at poundin' the iron, whereas I got started late.

Esplendido almost always had something valuable to contribute, and the forum is poorer without him.

11-01-2009, 11:26 AM
Bummer, very good contributor and representative of us older guys.

Good luck esplendido!

12-06-2009, 09:56 PM
What the hell happened? Someone fix it. He was a great contributor to the Forum.

Midnight star

I am sory for that...

12-17-2009, 05:41 PM
Dang, I just noticed this. Where was I?
