I am just not detailed enough to know or care, it just isn't important to me. the only number I ever obsess on is the damn scale!!!!

Might be the worst number you can pay attention to. From reading your post I think you have it down enough to where you can look at yourself in the mirror and pictures and see where you are. As for a training log I could not live without mine. It is nice to be able to go back over what you did before to see what worked and what didn't.

Then we went out for drinks and "junk food"- I had 2 Captains and diets and was ready to fall asleep - could not eat any junk food - I went home made some eggs and brown rice.
I will not survive single life at this pace:dunno:

I know what you mean. When my wife and I go out we always say we are going to party hard and stay out all night. It never ends that way, but with the cost of drinks and cover I am glad I am dull at times.

They do matter. If they are going down fast you are losing too much muscle.

Olive oil tastes crap in a shake. I've had to do it a few times when i ran out of macnut oil.

Mac nt tastes good. Or a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. Or even just eat the peanut butter off a spoon and chase it with a shake.

Since Paula is just really getting started and wants to finally try to bulk a little, I have changed her up some in that I want her to rest longer between sets and try to lift heavier than she has before. We just started that last Saturday.

I mix up the exercises each week, never the exact same routine so she never quite gets used to it. But the menu of exercises is fairly limited because of limited equipment and weight amounts, so she repeats some exercises every week, but not all of them. She has already maxed her db's out on a lot of the chest stuff, I am not sure what to do about that.

Right now, I just want her to have fun and push herself more than she was before.

Yuck ...no desire for that at all
If I'm cheating it has to be something really worth it

I mean almost anything sounds good to me after trying to diet for 15 weeks now.

What is your suggestion if not a greasy burger?

I was thinking nachos. :hypno:

Or maybe Italian food.

Weight has been hanging around 133 -134 for months now so that is a good thing ...and clothes are feeling different but some of the juniors clothes I had been wearing are cut for skinny arms and legs - that is not my build unless I am starving myself...so done with that

My daughter and I have a late lunch out planned to do some talking about our new future so I might actually do a cheat meal today...maybe

Good. You want to see that things are changing. Ignore the scale. Even better don't even weigh yourself. You should be seeing signs of a slow lean at 1700. Having the occasional "cheat" meal will serve to bolster fat loss.

You are in a good position to recompostition, ie lose some body fat while gaining muscle.

When you don't constantly deprive yourself of carbs, the bad responses, bloating and weight gain, are muted. There are exceptions. If I had eaten really salty food for example it'd be different. But good carbs are just that. Good!

Plie squats

Just so everyone knows I rigged my bench to kind of have a squat rack
so I included a pic and since my coach is getting ahead in the pic department - here's a pic during leg training

The uprights slant back and I reversed the pegs that hold the bb - so I enter looking forward - I am pretty short so it's not to bad getting it up - but when you go to put it back on the rack you pretty much do a good morning move.

Because your meals are too small and too few carbs:)
On the weekends and days off you really should eat something other than protein bars and RTD's.

I spend a lot of time running around on weekends because I just don't want to be home - that will change
I do need to remember to plan the meals away better or go have lunch somewhere healthy

Anyway, my opinion is if it takes whey right now for Paula to get her macros in, we need to not bust her chops for it.

I wasn't busting her chops. I was curious about the macro content. It's important pre and post workout. At other times shakes and RTDs are good when a meal just isn't going to happen. Or when leaning out and cals are in short supply.

Not enough recovery time? You think you'll recover overnight? Phfftt. If the muscles you worked are still sore a week from now when you work them again, then you have a recovery issue. You should expect soreness for several days. It's not guaranteed, but not surprising.

Enough rest/sleep is a problem for many of us. Not enough recovery time implies you're working muscles too often. It's a bb terminology thing :)
