I wish you both the same joy that I experienced with my Randee. :hugme: We had hers and ours kids who cemented our relationship. Unfortunatly never an ours. Our previous marriages were as it turned out practise for what with all the trials of life...perfect. We were two incomplete opposites who became whole when together. Lasted 44 years. I am so excited for you two.

Our kids seem to mesh perfectly and I already love his children:)

It looks that way for a reason, because it's true! Paula is tiny. I am small except for my head and one other place.

does having a huge head mean I need to gain 24 lbs of muscle to be in proportion?. or should I be afraid of those type of supplements because I ALREADY have a huge head?

It's a genetic flaw. Your head will dwarf your body and make you look small. Just look at all the pros, tiny heads make their body look bigger. It's a well known fact I just made up. Maybe if you had your ears removed your shoulders would look wider. All part of the illusion that is bodybuilding.

so in a nutshell, just give up on bodybuilding and become a strongman? If I cut to 160 for my show, I will be 45 lbs lighter, but my head will still be enormous!

I sleep 4 hours now, and used to sleep 7-8...I am actually getting used to it.

Sleep should even out for both of us in a few weeks ...we are living between time zones. He stays up to late and I get up to early !

Did a modified workout yesterday. I will try and get another one in before I leave Thursday for my Birthday present trip to see Mike :)

Back in Vegas for a short time
Great Birthday weekend with Mike ...we loved kayaking

Count down ...2 days of work left
9 days until the move
a lot of packing and organizing to do
lots of goodbye lunches, dinners and a few tears
Might actually try to work out and tan a few times

Coach Mike better get a tough work out plan for us once I am there
we have been slackers :)

I am still alive and well living in Virginia beach.
Mike and I had a kick ass back work out tonight ...yes we still work out!
We have my daughter working out with us and she is doing amazing and will out lift me way to soon!
Real life is busy ... working hard at my new job and getting use to my new life....hate the rain:(
Now that we are getting back full force with our work outs hopefully Mike will find time to post them :D

Off night tonight ...I am feeling last nights chest work out YAY
It feels good to be hitting the gym hard again.

As always getting my food macros nailed down is my down fall.
My new job is way more demanding and I haven't even been able to get 3 meals in on work days...That has to improve!
Carbs are way too high ...protein low.
A nervous tummy and new job was to blame for a few weeks but I am starting to feel as is Virginia is home so it's time to add eggs, tuna and good stuff back in.

I am still sore from back workout Monday and chest training up for tonight's fun.
I love working out as a family and I am so lucky that Mike adjusts our workouts to my ever changing work schedule.
We are proving that any couple can find a way to spend time together, have time for kids and time to train.

As Mike posted on his thread we are back working out and eating like we had before my move.
We have to make a lot of adjustments to make it work for us ( we want to do the major of the working out together ) especially during tax season.
We did get a exercise bike so we can get cardio in a little easier ...especially during the colder months because I am a wimp.
Great work out this morning and meal plans done for the week.

Went up almost 20 lbs ...very scary ...5 down this week just adjusting our diet.

Now it's up to you Coach Mike to get our workout dialed in!

When I was doing a walking-only program back in 2003-2004, I basically went from a size 12 to a sometimes-10. When I put weights into the mix in '07, I went from the size 10 to a size 8 and now an occasional size 6! In other words, the weights make the cardio a lot more effective!

I'm looking forward to reading more fun posts in your journal!

the other stuff is not weights, it's another type of stuff that is like high intensity cardio of sorts!:)

But you are correct that lifting weights really helps!

It feels so much better to have a diet and work out plan, it is so much easier for me to focus when I don't leave stuff up to chance.

Long day at work and commuting ... still need to do today's cardio.
This is the hard part ...cardio or sit on the sofa and cuddle with Mike
Cuddling will have to wait :(

We all enjoyed the Gumbo he made for dinner ...it was perfect on a cool night and he is a great cook !

Training, diet and cardio is all going great. The water weight gain from our trip back to Vegas for the holidays is dropping quickly :)

Playing with the idea of doing the Highland games with Mike.

Maybe Dr Joe can hazard a guess...pain just to the side of the tailbone, just below the pants line. Radiates down the leg some and to the knee a little. I have SI joint problems, which are in the same area, but no pain in the leg and knee, so I don't know if Paula's is the SI joint or something else. Her pain goes away a lot when she exercises or walks, worse after sitting for a while.

On the Highland Games, just do it, Paula! It will be fun, and there will be a lot of people pulling for the few ladies that do it. Last year there were only 4 women competitors!

Training is going well and I am a lot more stronger then I thought...didn't go as backwards in training as I thought.
Mike and I continue to fight the gaining weight battle ...Mike with the scale and me with my jeans... we are whiners ...at least we are alike :p

As long as my shoulders widen more than my waist, I will be pretty happy, trying to stay off the scale. Haven't weighed since Friday!

Gym morning ...didn't want to get out of bed ...but I am glad Mike made me :)

I did some close grip pull downs then worked on deadlifts
Went up 20lbs this week 4 reps at 175

Real food, getting back on vitamins / supplements and getting some rest ( easier work week ) seems to be making a huge difference.

Lifting heavy and very different then I have ever done before is making my body cry a little but I am enjoying it.

I have been cooking up a bunch of healthy muscle building food for Mike and I today since I am off. Tilapia , grilled chicken , asparagus and cilantro lime rice ( it is so damn good wait to you taste it Mike )
Valentines day makes be feel domestic I guess :p

Highland Games training ...lovin it
I am doing so much better then I thought possible!
I'm sure my success is a mix of being happy, having a supportive partner and actually eating to grow stronger.
We trained hard today ... walked ( almost crawled ) aways scraped and bruised ...loved every second of it :yep:
