The number one reason why Keto diets fall is people forget the FATS. They keep protien HIGH and drop carbs & Fats. This is will devourer lean muscle. You must have protein then you need either carbs or fats. You must keep one in. Look hard at you fat choices; I would almost go high fat at first then reduce. Also keep carbs in post workout. If using insulin be careful with dropping the carbs. This is a one way trip to an ER. Mac oil is great but don’t forget food. Salmon ++++++++. It is high calorie but with the carb drop you will notice you can handle more than previous dieting. Balance Omega 3's and Omega 6's. To many forget to use Omega 6's. Primrose oil and CLA are great for holding onto mass while dieting. Use slightly higher Omega 3's than 6's. Watch for incidental carbs in supplements especially. People don’t realize this to COUNTS. Ensure that cheat meal is high carb/fat not high protein. Restaurant style cheeseburgers are great. Plus gets some red meat in your system.

Stick to YOUR plan DO NOT second guess. You are in better shape than you think!

I don't personally understand that recommendation, either. I also do not agree with supplementing with calcium without supplementing chelated magnesium and vitamin D3.
