I wanted to publicly thank, Steveg, for coaching me through this contest prep. I wouldn't have done this and followed through without him.

Back when I picked a show, I originally picked it based on competing with Steve. I figured it would be fun to do it with a fellow RXer. When Steve found out I didn't have a coach and I struggled with Dave's 5 meals a day diet he stepped up and offered to help me out. He said, try this diet for 2 weeks and let me know what you think. Very soon 2 weeks became the rest of my contest prep which I believe was something like 20 weeks. I had many moments of doubt (about myself) and mess-ups, fall downs and pick myself back ups. I broke down on more than one occasion with emotional meltdowns and every time Steve knew just when to comfort and when I needed a dose of tough love. More than one text was a slap in the face to snap back to reality. Just what I needed when I needed it.

Steve did just what I need a coach to do. He believed in me when I wasn't able to believe in myself. That's all I really need.

Thank you, Steve. I wouldn't have done it this year without you. I think we met my goal of being better than last year. :hmn:

I had Soul Food for lunch today. BBQ Ribs, (I opted out of fried chicken...chicken and I are not on speaking terms right now), greens with pork (first time ever), lima beans with ham, and corn bread. Then I slept in the backseat all the way home.

I'm going to take George's wife Tina to the local Planet Fitness and put her through my beginners workout, teach her to use the machines, etc. She has a membership but doesn't go and use it. I'm going to workout with her but I promise to only do really light warm up weights. ;)

partsRheavy
11-27-2010, 10:50 PM
That's sweet of you to take Tina to the gym and show her how to use the machines etc. I hope she'll listen and actually learn something.

I'm iffy about trying to help out these ppl who buy gym memberships and then never use 'em. Offered to help out a couple of these ppl (separate occasions) but never got a positive response. Both are situations where the ppl were too pigheaded to let me help them plan a routine etc. One is an MD and the other is a computer programmer....

I think it would be easier to help someone with just a high school diploma...

GirlyMuscle
11-27-2010, 10:57 PM
Well, I do that at PF for a living so I'm used to showing people how to use machines, writing them basic programs and then not having them follow. I look at it this way...I'm putting out the effort and knowledge. What they decide to do with it is their journey, not mine. If they stick with it I will continue to help. If not, I move on. But I do like to give people the opportunity to accept what I have to offer. That's my part in it. Theirs is in the acceptance. So it's all good.

Enough of that philosophical shit. We're going out in a limo to a strip club. See y'all tomorrow. :D

Thanks again!

So I'm going to track food for a little while. I'm NOT dieting per se, but I know if I don't start watching what I'm eating now I'm going to balloon up. So for a little accountability I'm going to post up. I'll post what my plan is in the morning, then come back at night and tell y'all how well I did or did not stick to it. Since it IS off season, if something pops up, like my bff wanting to go out to eat or something I'm not turning her down if I want to go. I did that enough for the last 6 months.

So here's todays plan...

9am 1 omega egg, 4 whites, 1/2 c oats
12 (post training) 4 ozs fish, 1/2 c rice, 1/2 c grilled peppers/onions
3pm 4oz steak, 1/2 mushrooms/onion
6pm 4oz chicken, 2 cups green beans
9pm 1 c cottage cheese, 1/2 c pineapple

Also, not tallied into the figures is the olive oil I used to sautee the onions, peppers, mushrooms...not a lot but it's in there. Also, I may end up drinking a little crystal lite, coffee with powdered creamer, etc. All those little things add up and when I'm off season I figure I add 100-200 calories just in little things.

Comes to a little over 1300 calories (not counting the little stuff above). Too little, I know, but trust me, I'm sure that I won't stick 100% and I'll add something in there. After all, this isn't contest prep, it's living life.

I'm also heading back into the gym. Planning on chest and tris with 30 minutes of cardio. I'll post that up tonight as well.

I was weighing 150-152 one week before my show. I stepped on stage at 142. Ate like a PIG, partied like an animal and didn't train since my show up until I left IL on Monday night. Yesterday was pretty good except that by the end of the day I was eating cookies. My goal weight wise is to not go over 160. I weighed 154 yesterday. I'm quite happy with that. I won't be weighing every day...just twice a week to keep a handle on the rebound. If I don't have a plan and don't keep an eye on my weight I'll be back to 180 in no time and I DO NOT want to have to do longer than a 12-16 week prep ever again!

I just haven't bought proein powder yet. Remember, that 3 days after coming back from my show I flew out to Chicago. I haven't even fully unpacked from the show when I repacked and took off again. All my stuff is STILL in a suitcase. PLus I've beeneating so much I don't think I really the shakes quite yet.

I do need a more solid plan. IN addition to the food above I had about 500 calories in damned Planet Fitness Tootsie Rolls and I had 4 donut holes (250 cals) with a large cappccino...sugar free vanilla syrup and skim milk. So I think by the end of the day my calories will be about 2300-2500. I actually think I'm able to eat a little more right now. I din't used to be able to eat over 2000 without major gain. Still gonna watch it closely. I'll probably weigh in tomorrow or Friday. I'm working over tonight so I'm doubtful I'll workout.

I know I have to rest and let my body bounce back but I also need a more solid plan. I feel adrift....

Meal 1 9am...1 omega egg, 4 whites, 1/2 c oats (230c)
meal 2 12.....6 oz fish, 1/2 c rice, 1/8 slivered almonds (in the rice), 1 c peppers/onions (330)
meal 3 3pm...20 oz cappaccino, 1 glazed doughtnut (270)

About that last meal...I looked up my beloved cappaccino and it's 70 calories. I've really missed them. So I thought I can have a protein bar with it. I love having a sweet with coffee. Anyway, I don't have any with me and the only ones the mini market had were super sized. If I open up a 400 calories protein bar, I'm eating a 400 calorie protein bar. I don't have the willpower to eat half and save the rest. So I opted for a 200 calorie doughtnut. :D

And so far no tootsie rolls. :)

Hi Sweetie!

errr...I mean Fucker. Hey, do you have your schedule for the next month or so? When will you be in Richmond?

GirlyMuscle
12-04-2010, 11:46 AM
156.2 today. My off season goal is to not go over 160. So far so good. I've been allowing myself to have treats and I do so almost every day. Funny thing is what we consider cheats really isn't. I had one slice of TOAST with breakfast today. I might use a little honey mustard (mustard with honey...not dipping sauce) on my cold chicken breast. 6 whopping ounces of steak instead of the usual 3-4. I had a doughnut the other day with my skim milk cappuccino but my calories for the day remained under 2000. I'm not going to turn down chocolate chip Xmas cookies when I make them. I just won't eat 2 dozen in one sitting. I guess this is a plan of sorts, basic good nutrition most of the time with some cheats, watch the weight and enjoy life.

I just feel like I need a little more structure. I'm almost afraid of food because once I start it becomes very hard to stop. I've been doing it but it's freakin' hard! I don't talk much about my food issues because it's embarrassing to me. people who don't have them think the answer is "just don't eat"..."have some willpower." It's not that easy. If it was food would not be the problem it is, now would it? You don't tell an alcoholic to just get over it.

So what are my food issues? I've always been an emotional eater. I get upset and the craving for food to soothe the soul becomes more than I can resist. For those who don't understand it's like this...when I'm eating I'm focusing on the food. My mind does not go to the problem. I go into kind of a trance. A food trance. I won't snap out of it until I'm out of food or I go to bed. Just typing that makes me feel so weak and pathetic. I should have more control that that. I know better.

Now add to that two 6 month contest preps. (because I gain too much back) Being so restricted for half the year, once I'm allowed to eat again it's like opening the flood gates. One cookie will lead to an onslaught of calories from anywhere I can get them. It's not pretty so I never do it in front of anyone. I'll eat after everyone goes to bed or I'll go out alone or eat in my car. When I was in Australia last year I was ok when Sledge was home but when he was away at work for 8 days all I did was pace the house trying not to binge and most days I did anyway. (Don't ask me what I binged on since he doesn't buy crap food but I'm sure he noticed the 2 jars of natty peanut butter went missing ;-)

Why am I laying this all out there for everyone to see? Because I know I'm not the only one who goes through this. Lots of people, especially women, do the same things and are too embarrassed to talk about it. We feel weak about our EDs. I know I feel like I should just buck up and knock off this nonsense and I want to but I don't know how.

So here's a little success story so this post has a happy ending.

I have some intense emotional stuff in my life right now. When I got home the other night I was in prime emotional binge mode. I walked in the door, booted up the downstairs desktop, took off my coat and headed for the fridge. No leftovers. Figures. No cookies. Again, figures. So I pour a huge bowl of Lucky Charms. I think to myself, don't poor on too much milk. You want to keep the second bowl smaller. Something inside me said, "That's fucking lame. Thinking about the next bowl before you have the first. Pour it back." I thought to myself what would it feel like to actually go through with stopping a binge? I poured the cereal back in the box and put the milk away. Instead, I measured out 1/2 c rice, 4 oz chicken breast and 1 c of onions/peppers. Heated it up and ate that. Granted, I could have done without the carb at 10pm but oh well. *shrug* At least it wasn't a box of sugary cereal. :)

Good job! I bet if you keep self-checking yourself like that you can break the emotional eating habit. Time and practice! Of course I'm speaking out of my ass as I am the exact opposite. If I have negative emotions or stress I completely lose my appetite. I have to force myself to eat and choke something down. Except chocolate. I can eat that under any circumstances. :p

I do think restrictive diets lead to eating problems so you're right about the "cheats". Piece of toast, lol!

Back when I could eat anything I maintained my weight by balancing my splurges with good eating and breaking my bad eating habits. Like always having to clean my plate and no dessert if I hadn't eaten a meal first. I learned to leave food on the plate and if I was really craving that chocolate sundae, I ate it first. Rather than eat it when I was full from a meal.

You know your weak spots/bad habits. That's a big part of the solution.

If I could have your muscle mass I'd happily gain 50 pounds :)

This is exactly why we hide it. People do not understand. Therefore we hide it and pretend it does not exist. We go about our daily lives as if the issue does not exists when in reality it its all we think of. Therefore binging is in private.

Seriously...Ibarra...you are the the king schmoe of FBBers. You have every picture ever taken. Look at those pics...I'll bet you half of the fbbers have some sort of eating disorder. I know a lot of competitors have had eating disorders. Some were bulimics and anorexic. I just said I did not understand emotional eating but I accept it. It was not a knock of any kind. I've heard the old jokes about regular girls eating when they get upset....

I think for some of us food was a reward for us when we were kids. Candy, cookies, cake, etc., when we were good for a reward for doing something good and for something to make you feel better when you got your ass chewed or beat. People eat when they are happy, but I think even more so when they are sad, you eat something bad then you feel guilty so then you eat more, it's a vicious cycle that i myself have fought since I was 12 years old and figured out I was a tad bit OVERWEIGHT at 200lbs, LOL.

Erin I applaud you for your honesty - AND for pouring that cereal back... fuck I've had the same conversation in my head... thinking about the next bowl and I haven't even began the first.

I know if I call or text you and say "I'm in Walgreens", you know EXACTLY what that means and where and what aisle I'm in. And just knowing I've been able to be completely honest with someone that understands, can sometimes be enough to allow me to walk away from my next binge. Some can open a bag of Hershey Kisses and eat a couple... EYE open the bag and I am not joking, gone, all of it, in less than an hour.

People understand and can empathize with drug addicts, alcoholics, gamblers, etc. but when you tell someone you have an eating disorder, they almost cock there head sideways with that HUH look? And for those of us that binge, its not always cookies, cakes, candy - I've binged on grapes, raisins, bread, all normal eating things to a person w/o food issues. Oh we can reel it in, at times, I have, you have.... but Lord when its unleashed... and when others say "oh come on just one won't hurt" they have no idea how ONE leads to tons later, in secret, when no one else is around.

Stuffing fast food bags under your car seat so no one sees them, hitting a different drive thru because you certainly don't want the same staff to see you again, finding an outdoor garbage can so you can get rid of the evidence, eating the entire carton of ice cream before you realize it and then having an oh shit moment and running out to replace it before anyone else gets home and notices.

Calling you a king schmoe was a bit harsh........bad Erin *spank* :D

It's taken all my life, I'm no 51 and just getting it figured out. The cravings are less and less and when they come on, I am able to examine what is pushing my buttons and deal with that. I hope I didn't come across as flippant. I wasn't. While I might not suffer from emotional eating or other bingeing issues I don't make light of it. I can sort of understand it as it's the polar opposite of me. I know how hard it is to control my loss of appetite. The other bad habits I broke long ago were simply from liking food. Especially the bad stuff :)

I have no doubt you can reign it in Erin. Maybe not completely eliminate the problem, but significantly control it. Just as you did with the cereal.

Awww...come on...King of Schmoes wasn't that bad. Actually, that's GX's title. I don't know who has more fbbers on their hard drive...Ibarra or GX. ;)

Today was my first day back in the gym for realz. Back and biceps. I took along a woman I know who works out at PF. She trains hard and I just knew she'd love my gym. I wanted to take her in as a guest but she got there before me. The gal behind the desk showed her around and by the time I walked in she was signing the paperwork for membership. :D I asked her, please don't tell PF that I brought her to my gym, etc. I don't want to get in trouble for stealing away a member. LOL We had a great time training. We have so much in common it's scary, from our weight loss, love of iron to living in IL. (Kim, she lived in Joliet and worked in Bollingbrook! LOL) She was like a little kid at Xmas. When we walked through the gym and she'd see something she liked her eyes lit up. She didn't know what to try first. She saw 2 stepmills and was giggly. She said she can't wait to do cardio on it tomorrow. We trained and talked for 1 1/2 hours. I think she fell in love with my gym.

So while my weights are lower right now I have a starting point. I'm sure it'll only be a matter of weeks before my numbers are back to normal. I'm still not sure what type of training I want to do. I figured that being the first week back, I can just play around a little and see where I am. I haven't lifted heavy in a couple of months. Pulling 365 on rackpulls felt so great. Just the feeling of all that weight....I swear I had happy tears in my eyes. It just felt so good to be back.

Then I get home and my Mom is making dinner for my little brother's 40th birthday. Yikes..my baby bro is 40! Now I really feel old! I saw the chocolate wacky cake with peanut butter icing on it on the dining room table and my mom is in the kitchen putting together lasagna. I said to her, Thank God I'm not dieting! I need to go get a bottle of red wine to go with incredible yummy dinner. Did I mention I'm so happy I'm not dieting? LOL So the rest of the day will be carb free and low cals. I'm saving it up for dinner.

405 is my PR. So I was happy with 365 today.

Wacky cake is a family recipe. My Mom has been making wacky cake for our birthdays since forever. I don't remember having any other type of cake growing up. It's a moist chocolate cake and gets it's name because some of the ingredients are wacky. Black coffee, vinegar, oil...but it's a really yummy chocolate cake. And it HAS to have peanut butter icing. My mom made it a couple of times during contest prep. I'd want to cry every time. I'm soooo happy I'm not dieting today.

Other foods today...

meal 1 (8:30am) 2 eggs, 4 whites, one slice of toast

I had to go to Applebees this morning because we're rolling out 12 new products. We got to taste test everything. If I was dieting (as has happened before) I would not taste. I did today. :D I love Applebees. The food is just so tasty! Look for Potato Twisters. They're spiral cut potatoes deep fried like dark potato chips served with a spicy Queso Blanco Dip. Yum! This was between 9-10:30.

Then I trained from 11-12:30. Ate again at 1. Rice, sauteed pepers and onions and 4 oz chix.

I'm good now until dinner. :D

(Of which they may not partake says daddy) I'm having pizza at some point and wine for a good part of the day. I doubt I'll even get out of my PJs!

Monday I will be going back on plan. I will not be dieting as in calorie restrictive but I will be changing my food choices back to a healthier way of eating. Currently I am eating way too far off of a good bodybuilding type diet and I need to get control of it now. I can't wait until january 1.

*Spoiler alert* How they hell is anything in his body usable after a jellyfish sting?? It kills by releasing a neurotoxin that paralyzes your muscle, including heart and lungs. Wouldn't everything be ruined after that?

Today is my last piggie day. I'm baking cookies. Planning on pizza later...and probably some wine. Tomorrow will start my new nutrition plan that I will follow until contet prep starts. It will look something like this...

Meal 1 4 eggs, 4 egg whites, 2 slices lite wheat toast
Meal 2 1 c low fat cottage cheese, piece of fruit
Meal 3 5 oz protein (fish or chicken), 4 oz white potato/sweet potato, 1 c green beans
meal 4 3 oz chicken, piece of fruit
Meal 5 5 oz steak or salmon, 1/2 c rice. 1 c green beans
Meal 6 1 c cottage cheese
plus...Post workout shake

That should come to about 1800 calories

I'm still going to go off plan if I have holiday related things to do. I'm going to eat whatever my Mom decides to make for dinner on Xmas. I don't have plans to go out on New Years Eve. NYD is a training day, as is Christmas and I'll be taking my workouts to PF....I have a key....

Since my show, I've been eating whatever I want. I've tried balancing cheats with good food but I'm such an extremist. I'm all or nothing. My weight is hanging at 158-159. I have not yet seen 160 and do I do not plan on it. I need a plan. I need structure. I'm sure my maintenance is a bit higher but I'm pretty sure my calorie intake has been 3000+ every day for the last three weeks. Also, I have not done one minute of cardio since the Monday after my show when I tried but was so fried I couldn't make it through 20 minutes. My contest prep starts Jan 1 so I need to use the next few weeks to clean up my diet, get back in a routine and get ready to do what I gotta do.

That's the plan. Steve said stay under 155....160 tops. Considering that a week before the show I was 150, 10 pounds really isn't that bad but I'm a binge eater so it can get bad very quickly. I'm aware of my issues and I'm not going to close my eyes only to open them in a few months and see I've gained back 40 pounds. Not this time.

I feel like I've had as much of a break as I can afford. While I've enjoyed no restrictions, I don't like the feeling of no structure. I'm actually finding myself getting anxious about my food choices. Choice is not always a good thing for me.

I also have workouts planned but my log is in the trunk of my car. From memory it's 4 days of lifting. Chest/Tris, Back/Bis, Legs/Delts, Glutes/Delts/Bis. Rest days are mixed in there so that everything gets adequate rest between workouts. I'm going to do abs every day but not a full workout every day. There's an awesome Nautilus lower ab machine at World Gym that I love...really hits my lower abs as well as upper. Planet Fitness has an Ab Crunch machine I really like. It simulates a weighted crunch but with even more isolation. When I'm at World I'll do the Nautilus and when I'm not I'll do the PF one. I'm saving cardio for prep. It's only 3 more weeks.

I didn't get over to fitday yet to log foods so I'll start with my workout. Today was the first real day back in the gym since my show and it's the first fully carbed, non-dieting workout I've had in 7 months. My max weights are much lower but I figure in a couple of weeks I should be back to beating my own PRs.

Squats

I decided to forgo the ego and really squat...ass to whatever grass, floor. Let's just say the only way I was going lower would be if I'd lean back and sat on my ass.

2 w/u sets 10 @ 95

Fitday used to list the ingredients it included in cooked food. It may be that it's assuming you are cooking the beans with some sort of fat. I mostly use raw rather than cooked for that reason.

wow...not sure I'm going to continue logging on fitday. I just looked up chicken breast. First, it does not have values for raw meat. So I used broiled/baked/ no skin, boneless. The calorie count comes up at 211 for 4 ozs with 8.2g fat. I looked up the same thing on calorieking.com and got 186 calories with half the fat...4.1g.

Oh well, I know what I should and shouldn't be eating and getting my calories in has never been my issue anyway. LOL

Soo....today's food plan is this..

meal 1 2 eggs, 4 whites, 2 slices light wheat toast
meal 2 1 c 1% cottage cheese, 1 apple
meal 3 4 oz chicken breast, 1 small sweet potato
meal 4 4 oz chicken breast, 1 small white potato
meal 5 1 c cottage cheese, 1 orange
meal 6 shake after the gym.

Gotta hit the gym tonight after work....about 7:30. Chest and tris. Legs are cripple sore today. Y'all know cripple sore well, I'm sure. It's when you walk with a limp, free fall to the toilet, cuss out steps as you go down....feels sooooo good!

I found that I ended up having to manually do my macros just because of those sites being skewed. I made my own Excel sheet. Drove me nuts making it, but I feel better knowing it's not making any assumptions for me.

Today's food looks good.

LMAO at the free fall to the toilet! I tried your "toss the ego and really squat" method for my leg WO yesterday OMG my butt is SOOO sore today! Feels like I actually did some work LOL! Needless to say, I will be using that method from now on...thanks! :yep:

I couldn't find info about the date of my show so I emailed Gary Udit. He said the show I want to do has not been sanctioned yet. What does that mean? I assume it means they didn't pay their sanctioning fees yet. I really hope they have this show this year.

Jan 1 is my start date actually. I asked Steve if I could start the day after Christmas, but he said just wait until 1/1. I'm gonna start tightening things up on my own in the next 2 weeks though. I've done a little damage while I've been sick...being lazy and eating some junk. But when I'm sick, I can't stand the thought of bber food...makes me feel even worse, so I eat crap and sleep a ton. I feel like a blimp.

Two weeks. I can't believe I want prep to start so badly. Maybe because it's the holidays and food is so overly abundant. My EDs are out of control. I start out the day with a nice healthy breakfast but as soon as something yummy pops up in my day I'm all over it. Once I eat one "bad" thing, I find it hard to get back on track for the day.

The other thing is I feel uber fat. I'm only up 12 pounds since my one week out weight so that's not too bad. I just need to stop the madness now.

You're not alone. I started this morning just fine. Eggs and whole wheat toast for meal 1, the usual protein pudding for meal 2...then it went downhill from there. I put a turkey in the oven this morning just as we were on our way out the door for church. I had sweet potatoes and cauliflower all planned out. The turkey ended up taking a bit longer than expected sooooo....Sunny decides we need some extra go-withs, like stuffing, gravy, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, and biscuits....doh! I had a little of everything. Got a flat tire last night before I left work. I mean totally flat. So I get a ride home...long story short ...my son takes me over to my car today. I figure instead of putting on the tiny donut tire I'll just get mine fixed at the tire shop down the road. They said it would be about an hour. So, my son and I hit Applebees for apps and drinks while we wait.

Tire wasn't fixable so I asked for the cheapest tire they have. $95 installed. Are you kidding me? We have little tire businesses all over Reading that have much better prices than that. Hell, Walmart is cheaper than that. So we tell them not to bother and my kid picks up the tire. We enjoyed some yummy Applebees food and I had wines. Watched the Eagles come back from death and had some good Mom/son bonding time. Not only do I love my kid, I like my kid. He's a cool person to hang out with.

So yeah...no gym and obviously, no sticking to any kind of nutrition plan.

Well there can be spooning before...you know...to see how much you can take before you give in and fuck like animals. That's fun to do sometimes...unless you're not getting any, like me, in which case it's never fun because it never happens.

Spooning before it good....as long as there's more....

Don't get me wrong. I like just spooning sometimes but today...yeah...let's just say I'm cursing 14,000 miles....

I don't know how you 2 do it. I've tried a long distance thing before. It was only 2 hours but it was still too much for me. 14,000 miles...not a chance! I wouldn't even consider that.

It's getting incredibly hard. That's all I'ma say.

BEAST MODE

I can't even imagine how difficult that would be...like I said, the furthest I've been away from a gf is about 100 miles. So he is 140x further away from you than she was from me. Considering my current situation...I live on the IL side of St. Louis, and if I dated a girl on the west side of the city, it'd take me almost an hour to get there. I wouldn't even do that. Too far.

Yeah..it's been 9 months since we were together. I'm sure it'll be over a year before we'll see each other again. OK...I don't want to talk about it anymore.

So today is leg day or was supposed to be but my boss needs me to work 3-10 instead of 1-8 and I just found out. I have a training partner right now so rescheduling workouts could be tough at times like these. I could go before work and totally bail on her or we can do legs tomorrow. (she works during the day) I'm waiting for her to get back to me with what she wants to do.

I started the diet today at 99%. FOods will all be on plan...all the holiday parties and socializing for me are over. I do have some red wine in the house that I plan on finishing up before Sunday when I go 100%. Oh and no morning cardio yet. There's gonna be plenty of that starting Sunday so I'm enjoying NOT doing it until then.

Are ya ready for this ride, Bud?

I'm ready! It'll be nice to prep with you the entire time, and my bff Ashley is starting hers for the same show in mid-January, so I'll have her too. Since Steve won't be able to make it up for my show, Ash has promised to be my rock during peak week. I'll go back to IN on Wed that week and just chill w/ her the last 3 days so I don't freak out too much. She's the best!

Started my contest prep diet today. I'm actually behind in meals cause I slept in today and I have no intentions on staying up late enough to get them all in. Still working on getting in a gallon of water. I totally slacked on that over the last 6 weeks. I'm planning on morning cardio today and Saturday but not Friday (both jobs). Then from Sunday on it's 100%.

My last weigh in was....169.0. *cringe* I'll weigh in on Sunday and report. There will be no pics until I'm back into the low 150s. I did video at 169 and I couldn't even bear to look at it after the first 15 seconds.

One thing I started to do so that I couldn't slack on getting my daily gallon of water: I eat 6 meals/day. I down one bottle first thing with my supps while I'm prepping meal 1, then one bottle between meals after that. 6 x 20 oz. = 120 oz, then I get the last 8 oz. after m6...done! I made a rule to myself that I can't eat my next meal 'til the last bottle is empty, and I tell you while it is pain sometimes sloshing down that water, it really does motivate me to drink it 'cause I'm not eatin' until I finish that stinkin' bottle! Heh...gets the job done.

Great idea. I eat 8x a day in prep so I'll have to try that.

I managed a 500-mi. relationship for a looonnng time. Once the travel time gets beyond a day's drive, it always means you have to plan, plan, plan. The bonus is the buildup...which makes it all worth it when you're finally in the same room.

When Sledge goes to bed he likes to read for a half hour before he sleeps. When he'd go to bed before me I'd go in and "pest" until he stopped reading. ;) I like to pest in the mornings too. :D

I started my contest diet a few days early because I'm tired of feeling bloated and fat. Yesterday when I had meal 1, I was so stuffed I felt sick. I figured it was because I wasn't used to eating oatmeal. I've skipped the carbs for meal 1 most mornings over the last 6 weeks. This morning I felt the same way....almost tossed my "cookies." It's just too many carbs/food. Go figure. lol

I get the same way when I eat oats, so I don't eat them anymore. I blend them up and drink them. No bloat at all.

Me too! I blend up egg whites, whole egg, oats, and other stuff for flavor/variety and make a giant pancake in a 10" nonstick pan with butter flavor Pam. I've eaten that nearly every morning for the last 8 months...and NO BLOAT!

That's a good idea too! I just don't have time to cook anything in the mornings. When I eat sirloin for breakfast, it's normally cold. So yeah...cooking? Out of the question...most of the time I don't even heat stuff!

Sunnyday
12-30-2010, 03:11 PM
I cook up a week's worth of pancakes all at once, stored in the freezer (gallon bags between sheets of wax paper) so I just have to nuke-n-go in the mornings. They are great smeared wtih pb or cream cheese, too.
