Does anyone knows how often should you take a week off from training?

I've heard every 9 weeks.

I don't think there is an exact amount of time. Everybody is different just listen to your body and do what feels right. If you are feeling worn down or tired take a week off.

When you stop making progress or your body is telling you you need it.

I think it depends on your training style, but when you're tired, feel beaten down, achy, it's time to take a little time off.

I train HIT and I go about 6-8 weeks then I need a week off.

I don't plan it. It just happens. Like this week. Trained on Friday...worked all day Sat and Sun. Sick on Monday and today. It'll be Wednesday at the earliest before I get to the gym so that's almost a week off.

When it's needed: if you see gains/strength decreasing, then that is a good sign. Other signs of overtraining includes lack of appetite, sleeplessness, etc.

I plan a full week every 8 weeks. And then I review/change my program etc.

Having said that if I know I have a holiday or work commitments or anything else coming up that could effect my ability to train I use that as my week off even if I have to extend the time a few weeks.

Great, all of the above answers are great, I only take time off when I get sick, maybe twice a year. :)

varies for each individuals recovery ability and genetics... but general rule of thumb is
1 week every 2 months. and 2 weeks every 6 months.

I used to 'plan' a week off every 12 weeks... Now i am more in tune with my body, and i rarely take a FULL week off... I will usually take an extended break, like an extra 3 days off when I feel like I need it....

Whenever you feel the body is exhausted. Or if you're going on on vacation or something just take the time to relax the mind/body. You'll come back refreshed.

I took a whole month off at the end of last year just because. I was exhausted in everyway from training/eating/scheduling. Didn't step foot in a gym. I feel amazing now and was A LOT more motivated when I started back.
