so ive decided to post some offseason pics. i may just turn this into my own thread mostly so i can track my progress. this probably isnt the right place so if a mod has to move it whatever but i didnt know where to put it. here's my story:
i've been training for 5 years now. im 5'9 and when i first started working out i was 125. im now right at 190-195. i am a true ectomorph as theblemishedone can tell you. gaining muscle and fat comes extremely hard for me. im completely natural (no juice, PHs, fatburners ever) and have been since ive started training and im not saying that for any other reason than because im posting in the natural forum.

ill critique myself before everyone else does just so you know what i'm trying to work on. my chest is small. im working on putting size on my arms, especially my triceps in particular the long head to give them more of a hang in my double bis shots. my back and shoulders are relatively strong points for me. im really trying to thicken my legs up and put some serious size on my hamstrings.

Great build! I'm rarely surprised to see a natural bodybuilder looking like that. I truly wish I had the patience to do what you did.

All the best bro.

thanks i appreciate it. im not saying ill never hit gear you know. i think that building a strong foundation before gear is necessary to optimize its benefits though. im still undecided but will be training at least one more full year naturally

I started out naturally for 5 years before resorting to juice. You really do look complete for a natural bb. You achieved a physique that 30% of juicers wish to attain.

Do you know Dwanye Wint?

He is a friend/client of mine who also judges OCB shows.

Nice work, definitely inspiring. I've gone from 150 to 190 in 4 years all natural REALLY want to get to 200+, but I've been injured for the past couple months.

Those pics go to show you that hard work and a little patience can go a LONG way

Seems you made a lot of right decisions. Your body is real good for a natural guy. Don't you think you should stay that way?

It also seems you were real strict during contest prep regarding your diet. Of course you would look a lot fuller and your shoulders and legs would look more buffed if you were on gas but is it worth it???

im not saying ill never hit gear you know. i think that building a strong foundation before gear is necessary to optimize its benefits though. im still undecided but will be training at least one more full year naturally

like I said I am undecided right now. I'm probably not going to get any press in the NPC, with or without gear. Frankly though, I'm not going to get any press staying natural either though. I am not in the upper echelon of natural bodybuilders, and even if I was so few of them get any sponsorship or $ that it's almost not worth it. that's a brief part of how I feel about that.

As far as being real strict, I wasn't and in my eyes it shows. I dieted for 11 weeks and my "cheat meal" i turned into a "cheat day" every weekend. and I didnt do cardio for the first 5 weeks of my diet at all. These are all things things I will be changing next time around. I will be dieting for 16 weeks and will do lower intensity cardio from the beginning so I am not rushing to burn fat at the end. I also will admit I had no idea what I was looking for and trying to accomplish, no goals, no nothing. I had never seen a striated tricep before my own and I was like what the fuck is that it looks sick. My goals are definite this coming year and I have attained much more knowledge since then so we shall see what happens. If I decide to take the plunge it won't be till 2011 anyway
