How many grams of protien is in a 3 oz chicken breats????

DrConnelly says 20grams of usable protien

Others say 3oz or 84 grams

What do bodybuilders mean when they say that they eat 200 grams of protien. Is it 200grams of meat fish or fowel or is it 840 grams to get 200grams of usable protien???

Not all of the protein in chicken is absorbed. Only about 70% in meat(chicken, pork, red) is absorbed, 90%in eggs, 80% in fish. Those numbers are approximated, not gospel. There are about 8.5 grams of protein in a cooked ounce of chicken, so 3 ounces would yield about 25 grams of protein and 70% of that is right at 18, so round it to 20 and you have the protein that is being used by your body. That is the sense that I make of it, but would someone else please give their opinion on it please?
