No this isn't one of those New Years resolutions threads. First off, a very Happy New Years to everyone! Ok, down to business. Lots of people working on serious goals here, others just formulating them. Since there's so many, and lots of keeping up with journals- and I'm easily confused- what are your goals for 2010? What's you approach/ plan of attack? Good luck, much succcess and I hope everyone exceeds their own expectations!

Here are my goals.

Get to 175 and 5% for the masters' challenge in Columbus, and win handily.

Stay sub-190 for several weeks, then cut back to 4% for for my first show in August. I would like to place in top 3 in the Masters division (no weight classes, all masters are in one class)

then just stay 190 or less for good and not have to cut so hard ever again.

Great idea for a thread...let's make it a sticky for awhile so everyone can see it and reply.

Gain as much muscle as I can. Which probably means 5 pounds.

Start a short term 12-week goal beginning Dec. 28th

Finish the goal and take new photos March 15th.

GOALS: 1. Gain some lean weight, starting point 165 lbs.

2. Work on getting more width to my lats and practice and perfect my front and rear lat pose.

3. Develop my hamstrings.

4. More chest thickness.

With proper and consistent training and eating clean quality food it should be possible. We'll see how I do.

My goals are all aligned around doing my first show on 7/26/2010. I'm going to grow between now and 4/3 which is the start of my prep. I add BF easily so I'm going to try and keep it below 12%. I don't want to have a huge mountain to climb when I start dieting for the show 16 weeks out.

My goals are as follows:

1. Move up into the welterweight class in 2010
2. Win the welterweight class at the NPC Team Universe in July.
3. Win the welterweight class at the NPC Masters Nationals giving me two master national titles in two different weight classes.

Lots of hours of hard work coming up ladies and gentlmen....lol.....

Win back the Muscle Beach Superheavy class (and Masters over 50) in July. 4. Win Masters Nationals over 50 supers and overall* *will need Baldies posing advices to win overall.

There you go. :yep: Outstanding James. We can train together, prep/pose together and nail the 2010 Muscle Beach. I would dry out xtra hard and slip down into the light heavies (198 under) and try to take it against the shorter men and meet you in the finals. Cool. Sorta like the senior version of Arnold (you) and a skinny Franco (me).

Right on! that would be a blast! You think you'll be able to get under 198 at that point? It wont mess you up for Pittsburgh? Or would it be a good trial run at peak?
